I was searching for a pre-owned car for my 17 year old daughter, and I made it clear that I wanted a vehicle owned by a non-smoker.  Having researched "thirdhand" smoke I came to understand that even with thorough cleaning toxins can cling to the surfaces of a car for years and pose a health risk to nonsmokers using the car.  The salesman showed us a late model Honda Accord with low miles and we fell in love with it.  When we test drove the car it smelled OK, just had the strong scent of air freshener.  It was a certified vehicle.  It was a stretch for me financially but I figured it was in such good shape it would last for a while.  We purchased it, and only after getting home and having it sit for a couple of days was I able to detect the smell of stale cigarette smoke!  At this dealership not all low mile, newer model cars are certified.  I had test driven other "certified" vehicles and they also had the smell of cigarette smoke- I should have known!  If you are a non-smoker, just beware of the "certified" vehicles.  I will likely drive this car myself and let my daughter drive my other car to avoid exposing her to the health risks.  Unfortunately, car dealerships are not required to disclose this information, nor are there any laws to protect consumers.

Having problems starting my car. Took the battery to a local auto store - tested as good. Feared it was a starter problem or worse.
Able to work me in the same day, tested the battery - found it to have a defective cell, and replaced it under warranty.
Gave me a ride back to my house when I dropped the car off. Didn't wait more than 5 min total. Very happy with how things turned out and the attitude, professionalism, courtesy, and timeliness of the crew.

I was having trouble with my minivan so I made an appointment to have them look at it and diagnose. The guy I spoke with (and have a few times) was very condescending and rude to me. He always treats me like I'm an idiot. Then I sat there for 2 hours waiting on my van. I finally couldn't stay any longer and asked them what they had found wrong with the van. They informed me that they hadn't even pulled it into a bay yet EVEN THOUGH I had an appointment! No one came to inform me of this and possible offer another time to come back. They have horrible customer service.
This is in the main service area. The quick service area (oil change, tires etc) are wonderful! Super helpful, friendly and keep you up to date on time frame etc.

I have used them for years and I would not go back to them again. There has been a lot of turnover recently and they are horrible. Everything had been great for a number of years until recently within a month when I traded my tuck in since I was having some issues which were under warranty. When I checked it in with them they did not even take it back and told me that were going to mess with it. My key kept getting stuck in the ignition and they told me that there was nothing they could do about it. My kid did not even get out of the car because they told me immediately that they were not going to look at it even though it was covered under warranty. They even told me that if I paid $ 500 to replace the ignition and if they saw that it was broken when they took it out it would still not be covered under warranty.

I live in Oklahoma City but I go up to Tulsa to get my car service by them because their service is good. I've been dealing with them for 20 years. The service department is A's straight down the board. I bought my last car down here in Oklahoma City because their used car staff was giving a high pressure sale which I do not respond well to. So I came down here and bought my used car down here. Went to get a service down here and I didn't like their service and customer service department. Even though I bought it down here, I go back to them to get it serviced.

The oil change was preformed quickly and painlessly! My family and I have purchased numerous cars from Joe Marina Honda over the last 12 or so years. I bought my car there and was pleased UNTIL it was serviced. I purchased upgrades and when they were installed it all went very badly. I dropped my car off and Im COMPLETELY sure my avg MPG was18%, it just clicked over from 17.9 when I pulled into the parking lot and my oil life was 100%. When my car was dropped off at my house - and quot;a nice serviceand quot; - it stunk of cigarettes and had clearly been driven a lot. The avg MPG was now 14.1 and the oil life was down to 90%. I'm not exactly sure where my mileage was but I do know it was not over 400 miles and now the car was over 500. I live less than 15 miles from the dealership. And they did not bother to fill the tank back up to where it was.

Instead of apologizing we were given the run around, told we were lying by the assistant sales manager (who hung up on my husband) and told it was the and quot;Mexican cleaning ladyand quot; by the person who sold us the car. The lead sales manager said they looked into it but they don't have cameras so no one can prove anything. In fact, the manager didn't apologize for anything until we pointed out to him we just wanted the truth and an apology. We quickly figured out it was useless talking to them any further and gave up.

"At Joe Marina Honda, customer service is the most important aspect of the customer experience. The customer dropped their vehicle to us to have some equipment installed they had purchased. This particular item requires the battery to be disconnected. Any time the battery is disconnected on this model the MPG gauge resets to zero and has to be driven several hundred miles to get an accurate reading again. As a convenience to the customer, the salesperson who sold the vehicle offered to deliver it to their home after the addition equipment was installed. He is a smoker and while he did not smoke in the vehicle it is possible that a cigarette smell could be noticed. We have offered a complete detail of the vehicle to the customer. As for the 10% drop in oil life and extra miles on the vehicle, unfortunately we did not notate the miles on the vehicle when it was checked in. But, we do have company policies in place and we were not able to find any instance where the vehicle was driven except when it was returned to the customer. Along with an apology and to avoid any hard feeling we offered to change the oil and fill up the gas tank and the original offer to detail the vehicle still stands. Mgmt team Joe Marina Honda"
