Not finding a welder on the Tulsa Angie's list, I rolled the dice with the phone book and fortunately came up with a winner for my need. Many I saw in the phone book were large fabricators, that didn't appear to be doing such small jobs. I called him the afternoon before, he sounded eager to help me for a very fair price and I went to his place of business the next morning. The job turned out to be slightly more involved than I thought originally, but he saw the need, did the complete repair and had me on my way in under 20 minutes.
Granted, it was a one-time, small-job experience, but a surprisingly pleasant one, as much as getting welding done qualifies for a pleasant experience.
