Roto-Rooter

They came on a Thursday morning and couldn’t get the line replaced after a full day of work then the next morning guaranteed us that the job would be done but failed to even show up. The job was then rescheduled for Monday without any notification to us. So we have been left without the ability to run water at our house for an entire weekend. I’ll tell people about this experience with roto rooter for the rest of my life and will never use roto rooter again. They advertise as a 24/7 service but there hasn’t been a single person step foot on the property since they all left Thursday. Avoid this company.

Jacob and Colton were the techs who were on site. They were very professional and got the job done in a timely manner. I've used Roto-Rooter before, so I thought I would try them again. I recently had surgery or I would have done the work myself. I hesitated spending money to have someone else do it. I finally called RR and they came out and did the job perfectly. I will continue to use RR for any future services. They are not the cheapest company but they are also not the highest. I was satisfied with my bill and found it fair and reasonable.

I have retained the services of Roto Rooter of Tulsa ("RRT") on eight (8) plus occasions for the same issue regarding our laundry waste return spewing water/gunk into our garage (wherein the return is located); these visits occurring over a four (4) plus year period. In total, these visits and alleged fixes have cost me nearly $1,500 with this issue has no end in sight. At this point, I can only presume one of the following is factual: a) RRT employs subpar plumbing professionals, incapable of accurately diagnosing/fixing a plumbing issue and are not willing to go the extra mile (at no time did any technician deem it necessary to inspect the physical pipes and check the plumbing accessible by way of our crawl space) OR b) RRT has intentionally and knowingly not fully fixed this issue, in an effort to ensure follow-up business because they found a "sucker" (NOTE: I am in no way making this claim at present; however, when reviewing the facts of this issue, I feel this possibility certainly warrants further consideration.). To-wit: when I spoke to a manager at RRT on Wednesday, 11/20/19, I was reassured technicians would be out the following day, at no cost. The next afternoon upon tech. arrival, I was required to call the same manager yet again to confirm no cost due after being told I would be required to pay X dollars. Afterwards, the techs located the heretofore unknown location of the main-line clean out; I was then told they were replacing the lid of the clean-out. At no time was I given an option of "lids," they just used the more expensive option and told me it was definitely the best choice after the fact. This was NOT a covered cost of this visit, I was told. A minimal cost to be sure, but it just adds to the continuing tally paid by me in favor of RRT! After cleaning the main-line (which had no relation to the laundry back up, per the techs), a snake was used to clean out the why line from the laundry return in the garage (where the backup occurred) out through and to the main-line. I was told the issue should be quelled for the time being (and it was implied that I SHOULD have been charged for the snaking of that particular drain; I guess I am just lucky! Free plumbing!). This was Wednesday, 11/20. The following Sunday, 11/24, I ran one load of laundry, and the garage was once again flooded. Not one thing has been fixed (garage has flooded each and every single time the wash has been run since, up to yesterday 12/08/19.) Now, I certainly hope that option B as laid out above is not what has occurred here. The manager I spoke to attempted to come back out for another look at no charge; I told him that in no way would I allow RRT back in my home for further work. To supplement all claims made above, I am in possession of all statements reflective of dates/technician name/service performed/cost paid. In closing, I am in no way attempting to receive something for free. I am just a customer that has spent countless hours, far too much money, and provided markedly more patience than should be expected for a final fix of an issue that has been plaguing my home since 2015. For reference, the picture attached hereto is indicitive of the issue that has been occurring the past 4+ years. It was taken the afternoon of 12/08/2019 after running exactly one (1) load of laundry. This is the issue that has been "fixed" eight-plus times.

We're perfectly happy with them. They're reliable and reasonably priced. They're also very considerate, they always wear booties inside the house and are very careful to make sure they close doors and gates behind them so our two Shih Tzu's and cat don't get out of the house.

They showed up within the time frame they estimated, they unclogged the drain quickly, and the price was exactly what was quoted over the when I made the appointment.

Rodney came out and was very courteous and professional. He located the leak quickly and did a super job at taking care of my issue. I will definitely repeat business if needed with Roto-Rooter.

Jeff from Roto Rooter came as sheduled did a great job. The leak was from leaky shutoff valve and the sink was just stopped up. Jeff cleared the sink and fixed the shutoff valve. Very good experience. Jeff was effecient, kind and courteous.

They came after hours because I couldn't leave work. They stayed until they found the problem - it was the City's issue. They fixed something else to make the time worthwhile. It was worth the extra fee for late hours. Thanks!!

The job went well.

the technician came to the house as scheduled, did the work we needed done, billed us a very reasonable amount, and left having taken care of the problem. that's the way we like to do business!

Did a great job. Repairman arrived within 30 minutes of my call and finished the work in less than an hour. Very friendly and clean. Good job.

Cleaned drain as requested. Did not expect a $3 charge for "environmental waste" when sediment from drain was removed, nor $6 charge for shopvac to suck up water (when we had our own shop vac sittin there - and had already been charged $124 for less than 1 hour of work). But did get a $3 "senior discount" - which was not much but a little concession.

My main drain was backing up. This has happened before and I assume will happen again. They quoted me $152 and charged $152. I am a struggling single mom teacher and when something hits financially, it really hurts. To come up with this amount was hard for me, so any more than this was just not possible. But they came and performed the work they said they were going to do and things are good for another 6 months to a year. I know I'll have to use them again and I trust them. I appreciate the few honest and dependable companies that are still out there.

We were cleaning out our fridge and dumping food through the disposal. Wouldn't you know it? We ended up with a clogged sink. Plunging wasn't getting the job done, so we requested the help of a professional from Roto-Rooter. I was very happy with how fast they were able to get out. I called at 8 and they were out by 9. Technician was very polite and courteous. I was happy that took a card for payment. I felt more relieved that they offer a 30 Day warranty on the service.

Called at 8 am to have them come out to clear a drain. I was told a dispatcher would call me after they talked with the techs to see what their schedule was. I called back at 10:13 am to see if I was on the schedule . I was told they wouldn't know, that the dispatch would call when they could head my way. I called back at 3 pm to tell them to cancel the appt. that I had waited 6 1/2 hrs or their call . They gave me reasons and excuses ( which I call the tools of the incompetent ) about why they had not called. I informed them that I was calling as a courtesy to cancel hoping they would pick up on what honesty and integrity looks like .

The service man was right and the new stool works great. The new stool has a larger hole in it and it is a low water flow 1.6. We have used the new stool for 2 months now and could not be happier. It is a taller stool with an elongated bowel which works great for us 70 year old people. We were able to store our toilet plunger and have not had to use it in the last 2 months. Before we had to use the toilet plunger every time with our old stool for the last 5 years. I wish we had called Roto-Router 5 years ago. He had given me an estimate of about $700 which was right on and we are very pleased. He had checked out our sewer line and determined our flow was okay and there was not a blockage. Then he went and got the new toilet and came back and installed it. It was an American Standard Bemis low-flow toilet with a lot larger hole than our old toilet. We really love it and it was worth every penny. Thank you Roto-Router.
