They arrived on time and was very careful not to damage any walls as they carried the attic portion up our curved staircase. They had enough help to complete the job in one day. Everything went as planned.

They did great job! The only thing they did that upset us was to use our ladder without our permission. If they had asked it would not been big deal. They need to bring there own equipment.

Made appointment for estimate and estimator was timely.  The Robison estimate was in sufficient detail so that it could be compared to 2 other estimates I received.  Robison estimate was not the highest but towards the higher end.  After comparison of estimates and review of recent ratings on Angie's List I chose to go with Robison.
The job was scheduled to complete prior to our planned 4th of July vacation. Due to subsequent Robison schedule issues, the job did not complete prior to the 4th as desired. It was necessary to take a break prior to installation of the 3rd unit.  We had hoped to have the same crew on site from start to finish, however due to schedule issues there seemed to be a different crew for each unit. Robison crews cleaned up well at the end of each day.
There have been two issues subsequent to installation. First, a thermostat was not correctly wired and at times during the summer the blower would run all night even though the compressor was not running. Robison service responded quickly and rewired the thermostat and also reviewed the other two to make sure they were correctly wired.
The second surrounded the upstairs unit which leaked condensation and caused water damage to the ceiling below.  The first leak occurred during a period of high humidity while we were out of town.  Robison service responded quickly but the "leak" was dry and they suggested the p-trap might have been clogged as it seemed to be draining correctly at the time.  We were able to observe the 2nd leak during a period of high heating during a severe cold spell.  Robison service again responded quickly. It appears a necessary clamp was not included during the initial install. Hopefully the adding of the clamp and reengineering of the overflow collection box has resolved the leak. Robison volunteered to have the water-marked ceiling repaired.

Robison Air Inc came out to fix my air conditioner. It was 115 degrees and I just couldn't handle it. Everything inside the unit exploded and melted. Robison Air Inc got out here very quickly. They tried to save something by cleaning it and looking to see if anything was salvagable. They offfered me a real deal, a brand new, much better, upgraded air conditioner and also upgraded my furnace. They installed it, cleaned up after themselves, and everything was immaculate. They did this all in one day.

Stated must pay full price if we finance. Did not receive programmable or trane thermostat at first. Company did not follow original agreement , installed equipment completely diffrent then planed. Tried to make us believe cutting a larger hole in wall would increase intake , even though duct behind hole was two times smaller.a/c unit leans over in house due to poor installation.one year maintenance plan was given but not honored, have not seen or heard from company since install. Was told would be instructed on how to clean unit outside, never happened.employees to busy stripping copper from old unit at my house then concentrating on install

"This post slipped by, unfortunately [Member name removed] was unhappy with our work which is very unusual according to our other comments. If a customer is not happy we encourage them to call us at the office so we can correct the problem, not leave negative information on Angies List. We have an A+ with the Tulsa Better Business Bureau [Member name removed] states we have done no maintenance even though we gave him a free one year agreement, we always explain that the customer has to call us for an appointment since we have no idea about their schedule and when they will be home. I will still honor this free maintenance if you call and schedule. If [Member name removed] feels we did not install something properly please give us a call, I am the Service Manager, and I will personally come out and what ever problems need resolved we will at no charge! I just don't understand if you were this unhappy why you didn't call the office, which by the way we have no record of any complaints from you. This company has been in business since 1962 and we do try and keep our customers happy, in fact we have third & forth generations of customers from the same family's that we started out with. The last thing I would like to address is our guys do not strip the copper from the old units, we have a delivery truck that not only delivers the new equipment but also hauls off the old equipment where we send it to be recycled. I apologize for not seeing this post sooner. We do try and please our customers and apparently we have failed at your home. Regards, Terry Shrum Service Manager"

The entire staff is courteous and professional. They arrive on time and work very hard the entire time. Quality control is obviously important to them and it shows in their results as well as any followup required. They go beyond the typical expectations to fulfill customers' needs. Highly recommend.

I received three estimates. Robison's price was in the middle. The estimator was very infomative and answered all my questions. The installers were professional, thorough and they cleaned the work area very well. We were very satisfied with the work performed.

On July 28th, my wife called me to inform me (I was out of town) that the air conditioner had stopped blowing cold air and it was getting warm in the house. As most of you know, this July and August had the hottest triple digit temps ever recorded, so it was imperative I get this fixed. I had someone from another company come out and service my 27 year old unit. Found that the compressor had gone dead after such long and faithful service. It would have cost about half the cost of what a whole entire new unit would cost to have the compressor just replaced with no long term warranty. I did not want to spend that kind of money for a short term fix. I solicited approximately 7 bids from different HVAC companies but due to time constraints (having a very hot, sweaty and uncomfortable wife is not fun!) and financing options (our big ticket purchase that year was replacement windows) I ended up going with Trane and Robison Air. Terry the salesman was very understanding of our predicament and worked with me (again being out of town)via the telephone answering all my questions and giving me different options and price quotes. After discussing with my wife, we decided to pull the trigger and have them do it. Terry even worked late the night before trying to slide us into their already busy schedule for the install. The work crew arrived promptly at 11:30am and took approximately 4 hours to install the new 13 SEER 4 ton outside unit, the 80% Furnace and airhandler, including all new gas piping (to code) and sealing all of the ducting. They showed my wife how to change the filters and operate the thermostat again because I was out of town. The house was cooled down by that evening, which made for a very happy wife.

The overall process was quite painless, Terry was extremely helpful and so far no problems with the unit or the install. The Trane warranty is pretty good and I am still weighing extended warranty options.

Time will tell if the newer efficient units do pay off in the long run or if the advertised Trane reliability really exists, not sure if I got my moneys worth as I did receive cheaper bids.

The one thing I must make clear is that if I had to do it all over again, I would have insisted on a Manual J Load calculation done on the house as I do not feel that the 4 ton unit is large enough for my house. It runs just as long as the old unit did. This is not a fault of Robison Air mind you but if you are going to replace your unit, do not go by just replacing the unit like for like. The Manual J Load calculation is an industry standard and if your HVAC contractor will not do one, then find yourself a contractor who will, save you money in the long run.
Response from ROBISON AIR INC
"I apologize for just now responding but we just got connected on Angies List, last summer was so hot we are just now playing catch up, I appreciate all the nice compliments and only wish I had known you were concerned that your unit was not sized properly, I usually ask if there are any concerns and if so we do run a manual J to check for the cooling and heating loads, however I would like to point out when we do this we figure an outdoor ambient temperature of 105 degrees to maintain a home at 75 degrees, this is the industry standard! This past summer we had temperatures of up to 120 degrees which ALL air conditioners were struggling, If we go with too big of an A/C unit under normal conditions the unit will not run long enough to pull the humidity out of your home, that’s why we do offer the more expensive systems that have more BTU'S but operate at two stages of cooling which I did offer you a more expensive system but since you wanted to keep the cost down, I didn’t recommend the two stage equipment, but you decided on the standard system which was still a smart replacement for you as it is much more energy efficient than your old system! To help make you feel more comfortable with your purchase with Robison Air, Inc. please contact me at the office and I will schedule to come out and we will work up a heating and cooling load on your home at no charge. Robison Air, Inc. has been in business since 1962! I will even offer to schedule a Saturday if that is more convenient for you! Sincerely, Terry Shrum"

Outside unit went out on a good day with the temps under 80 degrees. Had several companies come out and give me bids to replace both the heater and AC. I had worked with Mike Robison 10 years ago and was pleased with his work then so I called him to bid on this job. He came out on a Tuesday. I looked at all the options and decided to go with Mike and a Trane unit on Thursday and he and his guys were out at my house the next Tuesday (Monday was Memorial Day). The units were installed, tested and completed in about 8 hours. I received 95% efficient furnace, a 15 SEER AC, a programmable thermostat, and a high efficiency filter system.
Mike's guys we polite to a fault, and cleaned up everything exceptionally well. I had one issue and that was with the location of the outside AC unit. These new high efficiency units are much bigger than the old ones they replace. My old unit sat on a concrete pad and they were afraid that the new one would fit and meet code. In addition, the breaker box would have been behind the new unit. I was afraid that they were going to have to move it on to a plastic pad in the dirt down the outside wall from it's original placement but I didn't see a choice. I left for a few hours and when I got back they had solved the issue by moving the breaker and were able to fit the unit on the original pad. It was great.

I am very please with the results. Now I just need to figure out the programmable thermostat!
