I waited for 3 hours to see Dr. Benner. Upon an examination and going over MRI pictures that I brought with me, I was told everything looked great but was given no possible explanation for the severe pain and numbness I came in for in the first place. I was very displeased with the way I was treated by Dr. Benner. I will not be going back to him.

He referred me to a physical therapist, he was an excellent doctor.  I think he has a very good experience.

Dr. Benner's availability is lousy. For our 1st appointment for our 5 month old child we arrived 15 minutes prior to our appointment time as told when we setup the appointment. When we got there, the receptionist said that she meant to call us (my wife and I) and let us know that he was about 1 hour and 45 minutes behind. We were told we could go do some things and they would call us 15 minutes before we'd be up. Well, with a 5 month old that's breast feeding, that's not the easiest thing to do so we waited in the waiting room. For our next appointment we got a call the day before saying that Dr Benner would not be there. So we had to reschedule to come in a couple weeks later. This wouldn't be so bad if the issue was a matter of a typical checkup (such as an annual physical). But when you hear that your newborn child might have hydrocephalus you want to know as soon as possible.

I love him.  When I was getting ready for brain surgery I called and checked online and everywhere.  Other doctors said that I had to shave my head and take dilantin that ruins the gums and he said that we will just shave a little strip and that we I did not need dilantin.  After two doctors told me that I needed to shave my head and take dilantin, I went to him and he just shaved a strip and said I had no prior seizures and the area of my brain was the place that he did not feel I needed any dilantin.  He is great and I love him.  In fact he said when he pulled my scalp up; the tumor was stuck to my scalp.  He cut it so perfectly that the section of bringing my scalp up, so he was able to put the pigs skin in there.

The surgery was on her nebula. The sack that covers the brain. He is very thorough and explains what he is going to do. The results are fantastic.

From the time he was admitted to hospital until discharge Dr Koontz was there for him.  Saw him in the office for months afterwards. 

He came in the waiting room and the first thing I asked was the surgery necessary. He stated that everyone was different and that my son had elected the surgery. He explained all the options to my son before opting for the surgery. He wanted to offer all the options first. The were no complications after surgery. He was up and walking within an hour after surgery. They adjusted the medication as necessary. I liked him and more importantly my son liked him. He liked that he explained all the options other than surgery first.
