Neighborhood Garage Door Service of Tulsa

Charged me $300 just to lift garage door so I could get my cars out. Then gave me an estimate of $2000 to repair garage door. Another company fixed the door for $279.

first let me start by saying how happy I am that the first place I called didn't call me back and I was able to find this company! Our garage door broke on Thursday, March 31sf around 7 pm. It would not open more than about a foot from the ground. We called the big name service and no one answered. They didn't even answer their "emergency" line. Talk about frustrating! We use our garage door to get in & out of the house, we never use the front door, we don't even know where our house keys are. So to us, this was an emergency. The next day, Friday April 1st, we still didn't hear back from that place we called, so I came to Angie's list to find someone else. The 1st place listed under "Garage Door Repair", had several reviews and had a great rating so I called. I left a voicemail for the guy who was listed as the contact. He never called back even after me expressing how important it was we get it repaired ASAP. (Which still have not heard from him and today is Saturday) 
The first company did call my husband back and quoted him and said it would be after hours to send someone out that day and would cost an additional $50! Well luckily by the time this happened I had already found Neighborhood garage door service and saw that they don't charge extra for same day service. So I called and spoke to Nick. What a nice guy! So friendly and helpful! He said he could have someone out within the hour. I set up an appointment for that afternoon (my husband and I were both at work) and my husband went to meet him. The appointment was for 1-4 and I was told he tech would call me before he heads our way. Jared called about 1:30ish and said he was about 10 minutes away. 

Everything else that that happened was through my husband as I was stil at work. However, from everything my husband told me, this is such a great company. I was quoted that since I'm a first time customer, the diagnostic service call would only be $29. And that based on my description of our garage door, the approximate cost would be $150-$200. I was very adamant about knowing this due to other reviews stating they were pricey. He assured me that the cost would be as he quoted and if not, they could work something out so we are not left with a broken door! That was so incredible to hear. Great customer service!!! When everything was said and done, they upheld their quote and our final cost was about $250 all together.

I called on a Monday a.m. after the most reviewed local provider didn't even return my call.  They said they could be out very soon and arrived within 90 minutes.  They were very professional and courteous.  Replaced the springs with slightly heavier ones, which I appreciate.  They worked promptly but it was obvious they were very thorough and very neat.  They made sure I operated all of the doors and was happy with the result before they wrapped up.  Indeed, all of the doors now operate much quieter and more smoothly.  I'm sure this will help prolong lives of the openers.  Prices are not "bargain" but I've dealt with a lot of garage door issues on other houses and with several local companies.  None were ever as prompt and professional so I deem the somewhat high cost to be the price of 1st class service.  It's the old "get what you pay for" adage.  I've given up on bargain services after a lifetime of experience.  I'm satisfied and I recommend them highly.
