MEGAWATTS COMPUTER

The process for selling my iMac to Megawatts was very easy.  I dropped off the iMac to their shop and they made me an offer to buy it the next day after looking it over.  I was pleased with how smooth it went and they gave me a very fair offer for the iMac.

My Dad took my MacBook in to this repair store. They came up with an even $500 of repairs to fix a keyboard problem (with tax $530 something). They kept it for 22 days (more than a week past their estimated repair date) and when I received it back they had not fixed what they said they'd fixed on the work order (the keys), my screen was damaged, and my computer's internal speaker has also been damaged so it sounds weak and tinny. In addition, the new outer case they used does not fit or has been installed so it does not fit evenly. When I took it in, they performed the repair that had originally been requested, but told me the screen was not their fault and told me they would fix it for another $300. Needless to say, I did not take them up on it.  They kept trying to suggest that I had done something to damage it, even though the problem appeared only after it was in their care. I just discovered the speaker problem (I had not tried to listen to anything yet--I only got it back a few days ago), so I'm going to take it in to see if they can or will fix it. I am highly doubtful. I also have had some problems with annoying pop-up windows on start-up since I got the computer back from them and my computer's performance seems somewhat sub-par.  The only thing they got right was repairing the mouse trackpad, which was faulty but wasn't what it was brought it in for.

This shop not only overcharges and does poor repair (or simply does not perform the requested repair), they actually return your computer to you damaged in new ways and with a host of new problems.  In the future, I will avoid this place like the plague.
