 + -1 moreI called a local electrician who promised over and over to come out and give me an estimate. When he did not not show up I'd call back and be told he would come another day. I finally gave up and called Lawson, even though they are further away from me. The owner came within a few days to give me an estimate. And, when he was delayed, he called to let me know. I was very impressed with his consideration. The estimate he gave me was reasonable, and he also suggested a way for me to lower the cost (digging the trench for the conduit myself - something I can easily do). They have not been able to schedule a specific date for the work yet due to a large contract they are finishing, but I feel confident they will call me as soon as they finish that project and plan a date for my my job. The owner was very professional, courteous, and thoughtful whenever I spoke with him. I trust him to provide the work in a professional manner.
Description of Work: I used to just have a small deck on the back of my house. A two-bulb light fixture on the outside of the house just over the deck provided good light to my entire back yard. After I converted the deck into a screened-in porch the lights no longer worked well for me. For one thing, the posts of the porch cast large shadows, allowing my small dogs to be hidden in the shadows when I took them out after dark. In addition, the light inside the porch attract moths and other flying insects to the screen which in turn attract my cats to the screen. Even though I have pet-proof screening on the porch, eventually the weight of the cats will no doubt pull the screening loose. I was looking for a company that would install a pole light just outside the fence on the opposite side of the yard as the porch, keeping the insects away from the porch and reducing the shadows.
