Kenneth Hale of Ken-Lawn is a master manipulator. He talks a good game. Hale kept bringing various plants to my yard and porch last spring and summer for decoration with no intent to plant them, unbeknownst to me. All they did was make my water bill go up. The plants were only there for looks while his sign advertising his business was in my yard. Hale doesn't bring all the equipment he needs to the job and used my yard tools when he did show up--and even used my Miracle Gro for Houseplants on the compacta cherry laurel and holly trees. My front and back yards are a disaster. Luckily I have documented every stage of this landscaping project from the beginning to the present with photographs. I hired Ken-Lawn to mow my yard and do leaf clean-up during the spring/summer/fall of 2013. His mowing and clean-up afterwards were excellent. He didn't do the leaf cleanup in the fall because he said he would be planting and doing the landscaping. Since no planting or landscaping was done in the fall, he blew the leaves into piles in the spring and just left them there to kill my grass. I hired a recommended and reputable company to do the leaf clean-up in March 2014. Kenneth Hale seemed knowledgeable about plants and landscaping whenever we discussed it, so that's why I hired him to do my landscaping. Kenneth Hale of Ken-Lawn needs to stick to cutting grass . . . period.
Description of Work: The provider and neighbor, Kenneth Hale, was SUPPOSED to create a beautiful landscape for my front and back yards. Instead, after patiently waiting a full YEAR (03/18/13--03/19/14), my front yard is almost two thirds dirt and mud with rocks outlining the dirt and mud. He dug a trench to outline my front sidewalk and drive with stones and just left the trench with the stones on the sidewalk, opening me up for a lawsuit if anyone falls, twists their ankle, or worse. Hale did plant one cedar tree in the front bed. In the back yard (August 2013)he placed 35 compacta cherry laurels and a holly tree (all about 8 ft. tall) around my patio for privacy. He then made many excuses as to why he couldn't plant them--too hot, too rainy, too cold, can't find or hire any workers, etc. They are still there as of this writing (March 2014), only now they're DEAD. A $17,500.00 investment.
