Wonderful! Joel was one of the most conscientious technicians that I've ever had at my home. He got the doorbell camera working again very quickly and (for him) easily. He made changes to the system and showed me things to help me get the most out of it. He then connected my garage door to my new router. I hadn't realized that it wasn't working because I hadn't tried to use the app to open or close the garage door since I installed the new router a few days earlier. If he hadn't gone above and beyond, I would have had to pay for a second service call. I hope that if I need a service call again, Joel will be the one who responds. I know I will definitely ask for him. $99.99 service call + $25 trip charge was a little pricy, but I'm glad everything is working again.

I had the service for at least a year but I was told when I signed up for it that if I moved, they would let me out of the contract. I had to go through quite a lot to get them to let me out of the contract. They kept sending me bills even though I had contacted someone and they told me that they would cancel the service and not charge me. They said they would let me out of the contract but they did not. They continued to send me bills. I finally talked with the President of the company and he allowed me to get out of the contract if I paid him everything up until that time that I owed him so that was what I did, but they were going to charge me for the next 3 years or something. It was pretty bad. I owned the security system and they had one company come and hook it up, and had me sign the contract and I told them I would be moving within a year so I could not be on the contract for 4 years or whatever it was. When I talked to the President of the company, he said it was not the first time he heard that. It was Central Security that I had to deal with but it was actually another company that installed it and told me that, but they were working under contract with Central Security. I didn't realize at that time that it was 2 different companies. The service was good when I had it but then when I tried to cancel it, they were very unfriendly to me. I think it would have been cheaper. It was my equipment. They were responsive to coming out and fixing something that needed to be fixed. Finally they let me out of it and I didn't have to pay the rest of it but they made me pay up until that point. They made me pay from October through June. I had to pay for it for quite a few months but I never used it. They have reference of when I called. When I called back, I talked with some young man and he told me to call on this date and talk to so and so. They have it all. After 5 months of not hearing from them, I threw all my paperwork away. It was not that I was done. What happened was there was a charge that was on my credit card and it was a different name so I thought I had a fraudulent charge on my credit card. I didn't recognize that it was Central Security.

I do think that [member name removed] has service with Central Security Group based out of Oklahoma. Central Security Group sign logo is yellow and green; Central Security sign logo is red blue and white. Central Security does not have a 3 year agreement for security monitoring service, nor do we have a credit check to get service. Central Security does not charge for service calls or basic replacement parts with monitoring service. Central Security only has a 90 day notice to cancel monitoring services. Our initial dealings with them had been great.  But I have had several issues with the alarm and getting bad battery signals for the cell back up.  Each person I speak with gives me different information.  One person said the battery needs to be replaced next month they say it is fine.  On person tells me I have to pay $90 for someone to come out and replace the battery.  Another person told me I could do it my self so I ordered the battery $13.  But when I tried to get into the box to replace the battery I can't and now they want 90.  This system is probably old and antiquated it to me seems very expensive on a monthly basis.  I am going to evaluate other companies...
Over the 6 years I have frequently get calls telling me their monthly tests on my system receive errors.  Yet they can't always tell me what is wrong and say they can send someone out but it will cost me money.  We had them come out several years ago and nothing was wrong.  The alarm continues to work the next time I test it so I am unsure what is going on.  I am just not confident in continuing with the service as I am never sure if the system is working.  Some of this may be due to the phone lines and I was told  had to have service come out when I changed my phone system and there would be a fee but it turned out the new phone system didn't affect the alarm at all and they did not charge me anything.
I have not tried any other systems yet so they may be better than others in the market but I would try others first.  I feel that an alarm system should provide a sense of security but I am not alway so secure if this alarm will actually work?  And feel like at times they nickel and dime folks for services.

Sales person came out and quoted the job.  Suggested installation.  Very professional and knowledgeable.  So we signed up for the service.  The basics were there from the previous owner.
The installers were prompt and courteous.  They came in, reviewed the work with us, and questioned the salesperson's choice of alarms.  We discussed the applications and understood the installers recommendations.  We agreed.  This installation was less invasive and seems to be effective.  Very skilled workers and efficient.  Did the work, cleaned up, and then proceeded to give me instructions on how the system worked.  Also gave me instructions for the on-line manual that I could down load for future reference.

The wiring was installed by our builder and they missed a window. The alarm company put a wireless connection on that window and didn't charge an extra fee for it - that was nice!

We were with this company for 7 years, and when we canceled service (by phone), they sent us a bill for an additional month for which we did not receive service. They said the contract I signed stated that I was to notify them in writing one month prior to canceling. I told them I never signed a contract and wanted a copy. When I received it in the mail, it was clearly NOT my signature on it. When I called to discuss this discrepancy, the representative was rude and judgemental. I asked him to transfer my call to his supervisor. I got a voicemail and asked for a return call, which I never got. This company has a fradulent contract with a forged signature on it. I would never recommend them to anyone. I have gotten nowhere with them so have filed a complaint with the BBB.

Guardian Security Systems tried to put magnets on the door in my sun room as well as the front door. If the wind blew, the alarm would go off. They could never get it set so that it only went off when somebody was trying to break in. We had had it disconnected and someone was doing electrical work on the house and the alarm still went off! So we had them take it away. Their response time was good when it went off, and they were very professional when they were here.

The gentleman that signed me up for service was very professional so I had high hopes.  I then had to add my pet sitter to the account and they didn't save her specific password information resulting in the police coming to my house when she couldn't provide my passwords - that she didn't know because she was supposed to have her own set of passwords.  When I called to clear up the issue they had one person on my account that I knew and hadn't added to the account and one person who they had on the account since 2006.  I moved to Tulsa in 2009 and didn't start service until January 2010...  Then when I moved to PA, I was told by the Account "Specialist" that they provided service to my new address, things would continue and I could fulfull my contract without any penalty.  She was going to note my file and I was to fax in a letter stating thing to - which I did.  I then get a rude voicemail saying they don't provide coverage.  I call and am told that I'll get a call back from a contract supervisor.  Not only did I still have to pay through January 2013 to fulfill my contract even though I can't get service, the guy had the audacity to be a little put out when I required a letter stating the specifics of the rest of the contract.  I told him that someone from their company telling me something obviously didn't make it true so therefore I required it in writing.  He was just about to hang up when I asked if he had my mailing address.  He did not and begrudingly took the address down.  This place is horrible.

They have been very conscientious about any kinds of signs of a potential break in. We get a phone response in less than a minute if we have an alarm go off. They are very serious about the job. They have been very prompt about having someone come out and answer all of our questions. It is a good system, and they have been good about keeping us apprised on everything. The sensor system works exactly as advertised.

The basic install on the PS 1616 system was free but, you have to sign a 3 year contract.

DO NOT get the automatic renewal!

If you have to move before the contract is up, you will have to pay for the rest of the year!

I scheduled an appointment to discuss having an alarm system installed, and met with Tony Hodges, a thoroughly delightful young man. He did not try to oversell me, but quickly determined what was right for my needs. He explained everything in detail and answered all questions completely. The work was scheduled within a week, and the install went smoothly, at least from my end. Not so sure what the man in the attic would say about it....but he was professional and came prepared to clean up all the wood shavings that occur during the process. Overall, very pleased with entire process, and was tickled when the salesman Tony called later to see if everything was satisfactory. Great price, great service, great company representatives. Would definitely recommend for home service.

Guardian Security Systems did a really good job with installation and was courteous to all our needs. The had a quick to response time during monitoring testing period. The only downfall we found that upset us a little was they told us installation time would be an hour and it took three, we had to wait around when we had prior engagements.
