they called a couple of days later with the quote for the 4 new can lights and we agreed to have them done, so they came back the next week and installed the can lights...we love them and the price was quite reasonable (we paid $575 which was for the ceiling fan re-install, fixing the problem with the light that quit working and installing 4 new ceiling can lights)

After calling and leaving a message on 07/21/14, we did not get a call back until 07/28/14. However, the service men came out the same day as the call back and were very courteous and professional. We were not in a terrific hurry so we didn't hold this against the company. It just takes time.
After checking the wiring on the fixture under the sink in the kitchen, the problem was a faulty lightbulb. After another lightbulb was installed, the light under the sink worked fine.
Then my husband wanted them to look at the main light in the kitchen and asked about replacing the light fixture because the light was so dim. The older gentleman talked with my husband about solutions that might work such as a florencent light box and suggested we go to Lowe's or Home Depot and pick out a light fixture to them to install.
They left and said to call when we had the fixture and they would come back and install it. We went immediately to Home Depot and within an hour, we called them back for installation. They were able to come out that afternoon and install the kitchen light and it took two round lights, one 22w and one 32w.
We were very happy with the results. The kitchen lit up like we had never seen and we were extremely happy with the bright light fixture. We didn't get the big rectangle box but went with a large round fixture that would hide the one we replaced.
We were very happy with the professionalism of these two men. One was younger and one was older. When we got the bill, we were also very pleased since it was $127.50. The serviice call was $85 so we were happy with the charges. We will use this company again if we have any electrical problems. Rated ***** 5 stars

Two technicians came over to install a bathroom fan and puck lights in my kitchen. They were both very friendly and courteous. They replaced my bathroom fan with another I had purchased. The person that had installed my previous fan had not mounted it well and this was causing it to vibrate loudly and not function properly. The techs installed the new fan and did a great job. They even went up in the attic and cleaned its vents; I really appreciated that. However, there were some issues with the kitchen lights. Previously, lights had been installed under the cabinets and the wires were more or less hidden. The lights were cheap and were falling apart, so I wanted them replaced. There was some confusion over what voltage of lights I should have, and I never got a clear reasoning on what practical difference it made. I was confused as to what had been in before and why they couldn't just use the same kind. However, we went with low voltage and I purchased the lights. These lights were designed to be plugged in to an outlet, but I didn't want that--I wanted them hooked up the same way the others were, and I was told this was possible. I had also wanted the lights dimmable and had specifically purchased lights that said they were. When the lights were installed, the tech removed the dimmer I had and said that these weren't capable of dimming. I went back and double-checked and contacted Mr.. Forehand and told him they were. The technician came back and reinstalled my dimmer and was very nice about it. However, when I was painting above my cabinets recently, I noticed that the technicians had installed outlets above my cabinets and simply plugged the lights in. They had run the wiring up through my cabinets (difficult to see, but still new holes and wires were there weren't any before) and just plugged everything in. This was not what I wanted and I was not told they did this. If nothing else, I would've like to have been informed about the open outlets for safety reasons--it's a common spot for my cats to sleep and play.

They were nice and kind. However they drilled a hole in the ceiling which I don't need. I guess I will just have to fill that in and fix it. Their price was good. They cleaned everything up and did a good job. I will not use this service provider again in the future.

I've used this provider twice in the last couple of months, and all individuals did an excellent job and were a pleasure to work with. The first time was to repair the sockets in outside light fixtures. I wanted to clean the glass while he had each of them apart, and Marty was very accommodating and I felt like he took extra care to clean the other parts too and not just to fix the sockets.

The next time I needed a ceiling fan installed, and Steve and Dewayne came out. They installed the fan quickly and showed me how to use the remote and set the directional switch for the season. I remembered an open ceiling chandelier hookup that needed to be covered, and they graciously took a few extra minutes to get the part and install the covering.

I will certainly use them again and highly recommend them. The prices are reasonable and I was billed what was quoted. When I called to inquire about services or schedule, sometimes I got a person the first time, other times I had to leave a message and the call was returned either that day or the next. Very pleased.

They showed up when they said they would and went right to work. They finished up the electrical work on a bathroom that had been remolded. Would definitely use them again.

I talked to Mr. Forehand himself to set up an appointment to do a few things. I had to get in line which was a week. I didn't much want to wait that long, but I thought I would wait as most reviews were favorable. My appointment time was at 10:00. By 10:30 still nothing. No phone call as to running late, nothing. By 11:00, I left my home as he had my phone number. I Thought I might even find a card at my door but did not. I did not call as I wanted to see if I would ever hear from them and I have not.
Business must be really good for them and they did not need mine. That's ok, there are plenty of others to call, but I wasted time and energy. Frustrating to say the least, and not good business ethics!

All the jobs went well. There was a bit of trouble with the circuit breaker job in that the box is old and did not want to surrender the old breaker. The workers recommend that I replace the box completely. I will do this later. The ceiling fan job went well despite the fact that the light globe did not want to fit on the fan... this was a problem with the fan, not the workers. I had bought 2 hours of work. The job ended up costing $65 dollars more, for both parts and labor, including the breaker and the wire surface covers. This was less than I expected for all three jobs.

His men were very professional, and went above and beyond to make sure the switches and light fixtures were installed correctly (some were loose, or wired awkwardly) They went along with their business quickly and took exactly the amount of time quoted. They even let me run to Lowe's for a dryer vent part while they had the dryer pulled, then put the part on while they were back there! Wonderful experience!

They were excellent. They got here on time when they were supposed to, did everything they were supposed to and did it well. The demeanor of the staff was excellent. I think they're the best as I've used so many bad services before.

I purchased a big deal for 2 hours of an electrician's time for $99 and called to use the coupon before it expired. Forehand Electric was able to schedule an appointment the next day. Tim and Hank arrived on time.
The fan/light was removed. During this time I was trying to plug in a lamp to give them some light to work with. The plug-in didn't work. I asked if one of them would be able to check the plug-in receptacle when there was opportunity. An exam of the plug-in receptacle showed that it had shorted out to the point of nearly causing a fire. It was also the cause of the fan/light not working. I would consider discovering this early fortunate.
There were two other plug-in receptacles of the old type without the ground present. I asked if there was time to replace these as well. One of these receptacles had obviously been worked on and messed up at some time in the past and was not working. The old box and plug-in was removed and a new box and plug-in receptacle was installed. There were some challenges involved and I thought Tim and Hank handled the change out beautifully.
I had an overhead light in a living/kitchen area that I wanted hooked up and an on/off switch attached. They did a beautiful job and greatly exceeded my expectations.
I will need some additional electrical work in the future and will call Forehand Electric.

I have tried to call about 4 times to schedule an appointment. The phone rings about 5 or 6 times and then clicks. No voicemail, no answers.

I purchased the Angie's List and quot;special dealand quot; for 2 hours of electrical service for $100. I have to say I thought this was a reasonable deal since electricians seem to run + $75/hour.
The outlets and switches in my house seem to be giving up. I decided to take advantage of this and go with a color to compliment the design in the house (basically getting away from standard white). I purchased several outlets and switches from the local store for the project.
I was surprised when two electricians showed up at my house. It was a 50/50 feeling. Part was like WOW...two guys...great!!! The other side was like....OH NO....I don't have enough to keep two guys busy for two hours.
The guys showed with with in 10 minutes of the planned time. I discussed my plan and they got to work. I did assist with turning of the breakers becasue none of mine were marked. This actually gave me a chance to make some good notes.
When it was all said an done they completed everything and still had 30 minutes remaining. Unfortunatly, other commentments on my side detoured me from getting to the store for more materials.
So, overall I thought they did a fine job and I would be happy to work with them again.
My recommendation.... take the time to buy the materials you think you will need for the project. ANd, it never hurts to buy more. You can always take back the unused items.

Electrician arrived; my husband showed him the problems; they were analyzed and then fixed if necessary.

Tim came out and did an excellent and efficient job moving a light switch and replacing an old motion detector. He also spent some time giving us estimates on some future work we may want done on a kitchen remodel. He spent about an hour an forty minutes here. The Angie's list deal was for 2 hours of work. We were billed for an extra hour which we did not receive.

They fixed 3 issues while they were there in 1 hour and 55 minutes total. I could not have been any happier. They arrived right on time for the appointment and were so very nice. Thanks for such excellent service!!

I made the appointment 2-3 days ahead. The workmen came exactly on schedule, installed two receptacles and cleaned up. I was completely satisfied.
