This company only cares about getting your money. I purchased both, a hottub and above ground pool. I had to hound them for installation of both. The installers for the pool showed up with nothing to I stall the pool on the forst appointment, was there for 45 minutes, and I was stuck with the pool, with parts sitting all over the place, in my garage for over 4 months. To keep a long story short, my "brand new pool" has rusty top rails, rusty side rails, sound like an old creaky mattress, and the rails are twisted every and some face inward, some face outward. This whole process hadms been so bad and such a headache that the owner gave me his email to communicate directly with him. 3 emails have now gone un-amswered in the last 30 days. I still do not have everything paid for. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. THE COMPLAINTS ARE REAL!

Buyer Beware. Dolphin Pools is the bait and switch of the pool world. Don’t go near them.

I would not recommend them to anybody. They are awful. The quality of the pool I bought, it is a Doughboy above ground pool so it is a good one. I only had it for less than a year. They left my yard completely trenched and screwed up. They did not return my calls when I was having trouble with the pool and with some of the equipment that they sold me. I still have not had a call back from them. I finally gave up and quit calling.

Dolphin Pools did not perform per contract and left a botched, unfinished and partially filled pool in our back yard.

On July 14,2015 we purchased an above ground pool from Jodi Hoehn at Dolphin Pools for $15,080. The pool is a 21' by 41' oval Doughboy. Our contract was for them to install the pool half way in-ground per manufacturers recommended guidelines. Jodi told us they have several crews working and they would be out by the next week. The installation crew came out a week late, Aug2. I had the location marked out on the lawn with red paint and had a discussion with the crew about the details of the placement. Matt, the crews boss said the install should only take 2 - 3 days and will be perfectly on the level. On Aug 4 Matt called me at work and asked me to go home and shut the water off so the pool wouldn't overfill because he was out of town and couldn't make it. (he was suppose to monitor the fill) I did and noticed that it looked off level by the pattern on the liner. Then I also noticed:

1.The placement was too close to the fence.

2.Was not square with the property.

3.One of the sides was not straight.

4.The bottom was not smoothed out or level and you could see and feel deep foot prints in the sand under the liner.

5.There were wrinkles in the bottom of the liner.

6.The skimmer location was on the wrong side.

7.The entry ladder was assembled wrong.

I called Matt and Dolphin to let them know what I found and asked them to remove the pool and re-install it the right way. Matt told me it would be 2 weeks before he would be able to come out. It was also at this time we found out that Matt did not work for Dolphin but was a sub contractor. Jodi sent Rob (Dolphin employee) out 3 days later. Rob got Matt to come out to look at it about a week later. Rob told me Matt agreed to come back out the week of Aug 24th to remove and re-install the pool. He did not show.

We called Rob to find out what they were going to do and he said finding a crew wasn't his job and he would pass it off to Roger. Roger told us he would have a crew out Sept 9th, they did not show. Then he said a crew would be out Sept 10, they did not show up. We waited until Sept 24th when we again called Roger to ask if they were going to finish this pool and he told us he did not have any crews working. He called me back 2 days later and said he put together a crew and they would be out on Oct 3rd to start. They did not show and Roger did not call. I got a call from a guy named Brian that told me the crew Dolphin said would be out are not coming and Dolphin asked him to do it, but he did not have a crew, and when he did he would have to work on it for several weekends.

After 2 months and 4 promises of crews coming out and all no shows was enough.

We hired an experienced installer ourselves to fix this mess.

During this 2 months of having stagnant water in the pool, which became full of algae and a lot of water bugs and insects, it smelled like dead fish. I constantly called Dolphin to do something about it.

On Aug 14th I went to Dolphins store to talk with Walter D. Hoehn. He said he wasn't aware of the issue and it sounded like the pool needed to be taken down and set up correctly. But he doesn't get involved in what the crews do.

On Aug 17th I went back to see what they decided, Jodi was there and laughed at me when I told him to just refund my money and take the pool back. Then he told me it was my fault the installation was bad because I didn't stay home to supervise the installers.

All phone messages for Walter (Doug) to call us back since, have gone unanswered.

Dolphin Pool Supply doesn't seem concerned at all if they deliver what I paid for or fulfilling their part of the contract.

They're very good people. They're helpful and knowledgeable. Their pricing on all their equipment and chemicals is probably one of the most reasonable prices in town. Their chemicals are 30% cheaper than everybody else. They're not at the best location.

Dolphin pools doesnt not build pools, they create money pits.  They dont build the pools themselves. They subcontract out to independent builders.  We had a contract with Dolphin and their subcontractor did a horrible job.  Our hot tub is sinking into the ground.  Our waterfall has cracked the pool and we have had to repair it twice.  The pipes under the pool were not connected securly and we have had to have numerous costly repairs.  The concrete decking around our pool has been torn out twice to find leaks and for repairs.  They did not take into account the settling of the ground around the pool.  It was as though the contractor had never built a pool in his life.  When we started having these problems Dolphin said the contract had skipped town and they are not responsible for any repairs.  A pool that started out as a $30,000 investment has turned into a $200,000+ nightmare.   I had to pay $322 dollars again yesterday to have a leak detection company come back to find another leak from the connections of the pool being completely separated.  We now have to pay to have the concrete removed, pipes repaired and then relay the concrete.   This has been costs us hundreds of thousands of dollars and we still can use it.  I will NEVERE to business with them and I tell everyone I know about how we were treated.  DO NOT USE THEM unless you have a money tree growing in your backyard to afford to continue to clean up their mistakes.

Purchased pool from John Lemmon at dolphin pools. He came to our house to help us find a place for pool, came out during install and after. Could not ask for a better person to help with the pool process. I am new to owning a pool and John has been very helpful. Would highly recommend John Lemmon and Dolphin Pools.

So far not well. We're in our 7th week of a 3 wk project and it still two weeks from completion.(if they would work on it continuously) We call them, they work for maybe a day and then nothing. Salesman is nice and the staff where we buy our chemicals for the Hot tub are exceptional. But at this rate we won't be able to use the pool until summer of 2008. We have paid All monies agreed to in a timely manner and checks have been cashed.

THEY DID EXCELLENT WORK WITH MY POOL. THEY MADE SURE ALL THE MEASUREMENTS WERE CORRECT AND NOTHING WAS OUT OF ORDER. THEY ARE ALWAYS COURTEOUS AT THE COUNTERS BUT IT'S KIND OF HARD TO GET IN BECAUSE THEY ARE SO BUSY.
