We started a couple days before boarding with an interview and tour with Dr. McNac. She was very professional and informative and one could easily see her and her staff's affection and attention to the dogs there. We have one very senior chow and one with glaucoma, blind in one eye and partial vision in the remaining eye. They took excellent care of both of them, administering meds correctly and giving them lots of personal attention. I felt more assured leaving them there as Dr. McNac is a vet and between her and her competent staff felt they could handle any medical emergencies. Also, I especially liked that they don't just turn all the dogs loose to run wild in the play area but playtime is supervised and if a senior dog doesn't want to endure the energy and play of younger dogs they can hang out with the staff inside and get personal exercise and play at a later time. Our doggies are family so we were very particular about boarding them but were extremely pleased with Dogville!

Taz has been going to Dogville for about 2 yrs on and off. Taz loves his crate at night and will, voluntarily get in his crate. His crate is placed in his room along with his food/water dishes. He has his own little suite to himself.. The staff is on site 24/7 so if any needs arise they are right there. Taz has separation anxiety attacks at times when I have had to leave him for an extended period of time.  It affects his GI track..There has been couple of times staff let him sleep in same room as them to alleviate his anxiety. .Delana and her staff worked with me via phone and video to me to let me know that he is doing ok. This is the most awesome place to leave my little guy...Will not take him anywhere else.

"Thank you for taking the time to write a review about Dogville! We do the best we can to make his stay comfortable. I always know he's happy when he shows me his "prayer paws" to go outside. We appreciate your trust in us and will do everything we can to keep it. Delana Taylor McNac, DVM, DMin Owner/Manager Dogville Daycare & Boarding"

"Hi [Member name removed], Thank you for taking the time to write a review. It sounds like we owe [Dog name removed] a free bath for the second visit--it's not our practice to let dogs go home "stinky" so we dropped the ball on that. There's nothing on our property for him to get into, but he certainly could have gotten slobbery or walked in a puddle of something as the daycare leaders are cleaning up. It happens and we are pretty vigilant, but sometimes things get by us. Just mention that you get a free bath per Delana, and we will see that [Dog name removed] goes home smelling fresh and clean his next time at Dogville! . Very professional yet friendly. All the employees seemed to know and care about the dogs.  our dog was very happy when picked up. Seemed to have enjoyed herself. Will definitely use again.

I have boarded here previously and now used them for daycare since my granddog was visiting and needed more activity than my dog does.  The atmosphere is so welcoming and the people who work there truly love animals.  I would not hesitate to use their services again and to recommend them to others.

Absolutely fantastic! From my pre visit a couple months before booking, to my calls to verify several items, to each conversation with the staff and owner, to my next pre-board visit actually taking our senior special needs dog over for a visit along with all the gear the day before boarding, to the day of boarding and through out the entire 8 days we could not have asked for more patience, caring attitudes, availability of the owner and entire staff to meet and greet us, keep us posted every day and even the final day of pick up....it was all not only what we hoped for but more! Our 4 yr old puggle is a puppy like sweet character, and our almost 10 yr old diabetic and almost blind puggle were both given very loving care. They even changed rooms at one point to provide a better fit. Reading my oh so very long novel of instructions of every sort (and this reading was done not by just the owner but each staff member), to providing extra care in taking blood sugar readings more frequently till they were comfortable with her readings, to making sure our other sweet puggle was also given her special time. We only moved back to OK less than a year ago and once I read another person's outstanding review on Angie's list I began my own research. When we came home yesterday, I immediately called a good friend who is in need of such care for their 3 rescue,s and will let our own vet know also. Both my husband and I were so pleased from beginning to end and will not hesitate to leave our beloved girls there once again. Holly and Maggie even got a spot/video on Facebook so that we could see them from our ship while at sea! Nothing but thanks goes out to this group. It is hard to impress my husband but as he walked through and saw where they were going to be taking the girls outside for a more private run and potty he too was impressed. They had their nice baths the day we picked them up courtesy of Dogville's sweet staff, so came home smelling and feeling so good.

My little ones last stayed for 5-6 days while work was being done on the house. Prior to that, they stayed for 8 days in December while I was on a cruise, and three weeks while I was traveling in Africa and Asia. They've been to Dogville for a few other overnight stays and daycare. I can't even describe what a relief it is to know that they are safe ... Just safety alone would be worth the price, but that they have overnight staff in house, that they take them outside every two hours, that they just obviously care about the dogs in their care ... It means everything to not have to not worry. The longest I ever left my dogs before Dogville was with my sister for the month of May while I was in Mexico. She ran an animal rescue for ten years, has handled every kind of dog imaginable and adopted fourteen of her own special needs babies because they'd never have a home otherwise. That sister frequently commented on the difficulty of her doggie neice and nephew, so I know Dogville is a treasure.

Since moving to Tulsa in 2008, I've searched diligently for a boarding and daycare facility for my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. I toured facilities, got recommendations from veterinarians,  friends and co-workers, but never found a place where I felt comfortable leaving her more than one night ... and then I worried.
I've finally found the place: Dogville Daycare and Boarding on 47th Place near Mingo in Tulsa.
I'd had great boarding and daycare in Tucson and Nashville, so I knew top rate care is possible. In both cities, my furry best friend had companionship from both other dogs and staff. In those cities, she got far more than bowls of food and water in a crate and two or three quick potty breaks a day. She was so excited to see everyone that I had to keep a firm hand on her leash when we arrived. Those facilities also had someone on location 24 hours a day, one of my biggest concerns, as I know someone who lost a beloved animal in a kennel fire.
Our little sweetheart is now almost 10, has a heart issue, and doesn't deal well with heat. We planned a week of travel to visit family, making reservations in pet-friendly hotels so that we could take her along. However, we knew the full days of driving, the Phoenix heat, and adapting to seven other dogs and two families would be h****** her.
By sheer chance, I saw the May issue of Tulsa People in my physician's office a week before we were leaving. My eye caught the ad for Dogville with their emphasis on senior and medically challenged dogs.
I immediately made an appointment for an afternoon trial of daycare and a tour. Our visit just happened to coincide with a hilarious birthday party for one of the four-legged guests, so I knew I was dealing with people who genuinely like dogs.
The staff was friendly, helpful, answered all my questions, and introduced me to the owner, Dr. Delana Taylor McNac, a retired veterinarian. Everything was sparkling clean and organized. The ratio of employees to animals was encouraging. I was sold when I saw the Doggie Dorm, where well-behaved dogs can sleep with a night staff member.
I was encouraged to bring my dog's favorite toy, bed and her regular food. Other providers begrudgingly charge a separate fee just to keep her on her accustomed diet and most won't accept bringing in bedding. My Cavalier and I left that afternoon, satisfied that we'd found a treasure, and with an appointment for her to board during our trip.
She was there for six full days and came home happy, clean and healthy. I even received a text updating me, noting that she didn't eat much at first, so her caregiver added a little warm chicken broth to her dry food. She learned a new trick combination - high five with a kiss - proving you can teach an old dog new tricks.
Even though I work from home, I'll be taking her for regular daycare visits. She seemed to enjoy being with the other dogs and she was clearly partial to the Dogville team. It's definitely worth the drive to know she is emotionally healthy and cared for physically. Our next vacation will be worry-free, because we know she's with friends.
Dogville charges a few dollars per day more than the average Tulsa kennel, but Dogville is much, much better than average. It's a very small difference for the peace of mind and quality of care.

"Wow, [member name removed]. We are humbled by your kind words and greatly appreciate you taking the time to share your review with others on Angie's List! No matter how we try to explain to others how much we care about the dogs and owners that come to Dogville, it takes someone who has experienced it with their dog to make it real. Thank you for your support!"

My dogs were SO happy there. ALL the staff knew them by name. They regularly sent me photos by text and my dogs were even featured on their Facebook page. When I went to pick them up it was a rainy morning and the dogs all had "thunder" shirts on even though I hadn't told them they were afraid of thunder. Dogville put them on the dogs as a precaution.
THEN, I had car trouble on my trip and had to extend my trip and their boarding. Dogville couldn't have been more accommodating. They even offered to open up later in the evening to let me get my dogs after hours.
The care of the staff is evident in how they interact with the dogs. In fact, they consider them all kids and treat them as the family they are.

This business is a gem. They provide a variety of services related to dogs, but I am reporting on boarding. I went to check out Dogville to see if I thought my dog could handle being there for 2 weeks. I was blown away...in a positive way! Their facility is clean, big and has all sorts of fun things for dogs to do! They have a beautiful, big yard with GRASS, doggy trampoline, toys, etc... The dogs have their own room (good sized) to sleep or chill out in. There are no cages, unless you request one for your dog. There are dog play groups for social, energetic dogs and other groups for more subdued dogs. They evaluate the personality, age, size of your dog and take care of them accordingly. My dog was given a free bath and light grooming while she was staying there. Dogville is owned by a retired veterinarian who has an impressive resume...check out the website for details. Everyone I came into contact with at Dogville was professional, friendly and impressed me as being totally committed to the welfare of the dogs in their care. The staff will text you every night with updates on your pet, often accompanied by pictures. If you are a member of Facebook, you can also see videos of the dogs playing in the yard. My daughter has also boarded her dog at Dogville. He is a puppy and much more social than my dog. He had such a blast staying there and having so many dogs to play with, that he had an adjustment period when he came home! He didn't want to go to work with my daughter, he wanted to be at Dogville playing with his dog pals! Highly recommend Dogville.
