It was installed within a few days. His guys worked tirelessly in the heat. We were very pleased with the whole process.

The French drains were installed in Jan 2014 and everything was fine. Would have never called Todd in May, but we had some grass removed with a backhoe and a section of the drain was torn out. That section of the drain was above the level of the grass so when the backhoe was removing 2-3" of grass the drain was dug out too. We felt the drain should have been dug deeper, as the majority of the drain he did had been. We also found where duct tape was used to tape broken pipe when it was installed. Todd told us he had done it all correctly and took no responsibility. It is difficult to deal with contractors, if you're not in the business, it is impossible to ask all the questions you need to. We should have questioned the "hump" in the grass when it was installed, but it just didn't occur to us. I did ask Todd about it after the fact and he said it usually "settles down" over time. In our case it didn't. In the end we agreed to disagree and we ended up replacing the drain ourselves.

I was very pleased with his service. He was excellent on both times. It was a good price. It was all good. I'll probably use them this Fall.

The results are absolutely beautiful!  He started with a consultation meeting, looking over our existing back yard and asking us how we wanted to use the space, what preferences we had, etc.  He then drew up plans incorporating our requests/suggestions and maxmizing the space, the natural slope of our property and far exceeding our perception of what we assumed was possible in our relatively small back yard.
 
The result is breathtaking, the exising poured concrete patio is covered with flagstone and incoporated into the design, the shaded area is more than doubled, he included a burbling fountain crafted from a natural boulder, a fire pit and a retaining wall that can also be used as seating when necessary.  The plants and trees he added will provide beauty and interest all seasons and are low maintenance, and he left us enough lawn for our two Great Danes to play in.  We couldn?t be happier!!

It went well. He and his crew arrived at the appointed time, got to work prepping the area to be sodded and then put it down.  His crew worked hard and finished quickly. It was a professional installation and is still working well. Pricing was as stated and I was happy with the out come. No negative issues arose except he told me they would be specializing in hardscape going forward.

Very hard working and professional. Detail oriented and strove to get it right and please the customer. We used him last year for a large project and again this spring for a much smaller one. Charged cost and no labor for plants that died in first year.

After meeting with Todd Clifton personally at my house, he provided a complete landscaping re-design proposal for my front and back yards a few weeks later.   The design proposals were very well done, with obvious attention to detail and creativity.   Needless to say, I was "wowed" by the proposals developed by Mr. Clifton.  I decided to start with the front yard project first, which Todd agreed to start a few weeks later.   Mr. Clifton was very hands on with the project from start to finish, manages every detail, and has a solid crew.  
Todd and crew took approximately 4 days to complete the project.  They worked very hard and cleaned up at the end of each day.  Really appreciated that the front was not a disaster area during the project.  Todd selected high quality plants, trees, flowers and shrubbery  The work was true to the design and surpassed my expectations. The new look of my front landscaping really "pops" as Todd promised and is a dramatic change from the previous look.  This was high quality work from a terrific company and crew.   The front gardens look incredible, and I have already received a lot of compliments from neighbors and from people driving by.  Very happy with Clifton Company and plan to use them again in the future.

He was excellent.  The price was very reasonable.  He is just really hard working and he was right there on spot.  I would recommend him to anyone.  I have nothing bad to say about them.

I found Todd on Angies list and saw all the high rating he received. I am very particular  when it comes to my property looking nice and it did need some work. He replaced 12 rail road ties and laid several sq. ft. of sod over a large area. The quality of his work is excellent! He is also is a very pleasant person to deal with! My wife and I are very pleased! As long as Mr. Clifton is in business, we will be using his services!

The patio and new landscaping in my back yard is AMAZING.  The total patio / walkway space is over 500 square feet, and it's absolutely beautiful. I never could have envisioned what he designed for us.  I wish I'd taken before pictures, because the difference is so dramatic - it's a new backyard, and it's inviting now.
We ended up paying a little more than I had anticipated when I first called him, but when I called him, I had no idea what I wanted, only that I wanted my yard cleaned up and to expand the patio and add a little landscaping to make it a more inviting and useable space, and what he designed was well beyond my original expectations and worth every penny we paid, the materials installed are high end, and the space looks like a showcase patio out of a home and garden magazine.  He transformed my back yard from just a large area of grass to an inviting outdoor living space which we will enjoy for years to come.  His work is excellent, and he knew exactly what he was doing in the construction of the patio.

We received an estimate from Todd his bid was very reasonable we and notified him we wanted his company to do our work. He showed up on time with the proper equipment during the warmest days of July and worked long hard hours completing our work. Todd and his workers were professional, courteous, and very efficient. Todd remained on site throughout the project. His final work was nothing short of fantastic. He performed all tasks required without a series of questions or oversight, something we have experienced with other contractors.
Over the years we have worked with MANY contractors, my wife felt (and I agree) that Todd is by far the best we have ever worked worth. We would have him back anytime. We HIGHLY recommend him and his crew of workers.

I called Todd on the phone to schedule a time to show him my project. He made an appointment that worked into my busy schedule and we discussed in details options and ideas. He measured and made notes and emailed us a detailed bid (absolutely a must in my book), including some pictures so we could see what he was envisioning. We were very pleased with the cost. Other bids we had gotten were much higher and for not as much work as he was willing to do.
Although he could not start the day we expected because of the job before us taking a little longer, Todd and his crew showed up on time on the following day and worked diligently each day they were there. I liked the fact that Todd is hands on, and did not just show up to check on his crew. Everything was done to our satisfaction and beyond.  
Sometimes Todd is a little hard to get a hold of by phone, but like I said he is hands on, so he has his hands in the dirt during the day. He does get back with you in the evenings.

He is very good.  He does what he says. He does it on time that he says he is going to do it.  He and whoever happens to work with him does a lot of work himself.  They are very professional. They get in and get it done within the time frame that they estimate.  I had other estimates that were higher.

They were very professional and they were able to interpret what I wanted done. They were able to do it very quickly and efficiently.

From start to finish a very positive experience.  The bid was given within two days of my initial call and the work began the same week.  The clean up was also impressive.  I definitely recommend this service.

Fantastic.  I learned about Todd Clifton from a neighbor (and Angie's List member).  I called Todd on March 1st--he came out to my home the next morning (March 2nd)--emailed me a detailed diagram and itemized estimate within a week ((March 8th)--and performed the work on March 10th.  You can't ask for better, faster service.  All work far exceeded my expectations.  I have already recommended Todd to two friends...and would recommend him to anyone.

Todd and his crew dug out the bermuda and several inches of dirt, replaced the dirt with good soil, dug a deep trench around the areas and put in a cemented stone border that looks very nice.  They put down landscape fabric and mulch and cleaned up the area when they were finished.  It looks exactly like I wanted and I'm very excited to have the bermuda cleaned out and a preventive border in place.  This was a a lot of work and I thought they did a great job.  I would definitely hire them for additional projects.

Todd was extremely easy to work with. He was very prepared to discuss plant and rock choices and took care to be sure we were happy with the plan. The work went very well and Todd and his workers were very careful to protect our turf and other areas while they were working- especially as it was very wet underfoot. He also very good naturedly took the time to make requested extra adjustments to the irrigation system once the work was finished. When we considered upgrading the landscape we pulled a number of $1000 out as a likely cost. Todd was one of the only landscapers who bothered to come out and talk to us about the project. We liked his plan and ended up spending considerably more but are very pleased with the result.

see above.  He responded in a very timely manner after we discovered 3 more broken heads and repaired those. We were very pleased.

I had Todd perform a couple of projects for me.  The first project consisted of completely sodding my backyard and overseeding of the front yard.   The second project was  redoing the landscaping on the front of my house.

The lawnwork went well.  Todd had some dirt delivered and filled in a few low areas.  He then had several pallets of sod delivered and he and his crew spent most of a day installing the sod.  At one point, he ran out of sod before completing the backyard and he went to the sod store and bought more and came back and installed it the same day.   In the front yard, he overseeded the existing fescue and put down multiple bags of a compost like material on top of the seed.   The seed came up nicely.

The second project consisted of tearing out old shrubs and bushes in the front of my house and installing new plants, bushes and small trees.  The ending result was excellent.   I've had several neighbors tell me the front of the house looks so much better than it used to.

Throughout both projects, Todd was friendly and had many good ideas.   He gave me a detailed quote before starting including a drawing of the project and pictures of the types of plants he was going to install.   While, I imagine I could have found a less expensive alternative, I wasn't disapointed in the final outcome and think I got my money's worth.
