We weren't really satisfied with Burggraf Restoration. The part we weren’t satisfied with involved a company called Designed IV. Unfortunately, we used the little four inch square ceramic tiles on the bathroom floors and the workmanship was really poor. The Burggraf guys that saw it agreed that it was poor and they were not happy that they have hired this woman. It wasn’t the design lady’s fault. The problem was the tile guy that she hired did not do a good job. What she did, that I thought was bad, she called me at work on a Friday and had me meet her at noon at my house. They were still putting down the tiles in, they were almost done, they have to put down the carpet and she had me sign this paper that said I accepted the job. I honestly hadn’t had the chance to look at the tiles floor very well yet. I expected it to be good. I didn’t expect any problem. I had to sign this report for this woman and I trusted her. It felt something like she had me sign that thing and rushed me into it so I could not complain later and that was too late. I think she looked at it and knew it wasn’t good. Her name was something like Kim Tiernes. One thing she did do was when I complained about it not being done right, she sent some guys over to take out some tiles and try to fix it. Make it look a little better. The worst thing that happened, I don’t know if it’s her fault or Burggraf’s fault, when they took off the tiles to try and make it better, they ground the floor. It made construction dust go all over everything. It was this horrible and powdery construction dust. I’m still vacuuming the dust and it was after they put my brand new carpet in. After they had painted and put our bathroom and kitchen stuff, it did not just go from that one bathroom it went all into the whole house. It was awful. That really sort of pissed me off. The woman, Kim, she tried to blame Burggraf and said they did not level the floor right and that was the whole problem. That was not the problem, it was the workmanship with the tile person. The whole job should have been redone in both bathrooms. Every time I clean the bathroom floors it makes me mad all over again because I spent thousands but ended up with a crappy job. I don’t have as much as of a beez with them as I did. It’s the design people that had the tile work that was poor. It’s like they hired her as a sub contractor. She sent out this tile guy and he didn’t use spacers. It was terrible. He didn’t use spacers so they weren’t all equally hard, wont equally flat and he just did a crappy job. I was so upset. I’m still living with it. I think I could have done a better job with no experience. It just irritates me. Another thing that she did is she over ordered on the tiles. We have so much of those tiles left we can do another whole bathroom. I think she might have done that just to get more money. The thing in I trusted her and I think she took advantage of that. Burggraf had this really good guy who did all the dry wall and stuff. I don’t really want to complain for Burggraf so much it’s for Design IV. Burggraf’s two work men were excellent. The only thing I really had, the people who were in charged that I needed to talk to, sometimes we never got a call back.
