Art Adams Painting

Art and his team did a very good job. We bought an older house with tons of wallpaper that we didn't want to mess with taking off. We also had several large holes from an old intercom system that needed to be patched. They did a great job of patching the holes and removing the wallpaper. The new paint looks great too. Art is easy to deal with and was responsive to any changes we were wanting. I only put a B on quality because there were little odds and ends that were left, but I'm sure that is normal with any job. There was also a lot of trash left from the job that we had to get rid of like wallpaper, tape, floor cover, etc. that I thought they were taking away after the job was done. But overall, work was great and we would recommend them. I had several bids on this job and Art was very competitive and I could tell he would be good to work with.

went pretty well. it was pretty large job.water damage to large area in kitchen.took a day to do the prep- plastic sheeting all walls,taped off, Everything covered in plastic. then a day to do scrape down and replace drywall sections. and they built me a "beam" to fit across living room,(just cuz ii mentioned i wanted one!)installed and painted. last was shooting the knock down texture, smooth , lastly painting by roller. they cleaned up well at end of each day. even wet vac'd the carpet- the scraping and insulation from drywall made a huge mess.they vacuumed everywhere to try get rid of it all when they were all done. they worked hard all day, only taking a break once a day. you couldn't run the air due to plastic over floor and vents, so it was a hot ,long job. i spent my time in bedroom,or outside. they answered questions well, got paint color I chose correct. did a good job overall. the only issue I had was a crack in ceiling tape along drywall seam showed up thru the paint,(it was there prior, i thought they would repair crack before painting over it )that came last day,and another came up around drywall seam around skylites a couple weeks later, but I didnt call them back on it. I am still trying to smooth that out and get paint to match -ill have buy more paint. It would've been A+ if it were not for those 2 crack lines. they went out of their way to clean at end of each day, and kept working , working..and at a lower cost than two other bids I had received. It was just 2 of them, and they were friendly,and very hard working.

We cannot say enough about Art and Les. First, they called us back quickly. From there, is was a pleasure. We agreed on a price which we found competitive and fair. They followed up with calls to coordinate a date, picking paint, etc. Although I thought the ceiling should be painted using different end lines, they made a recommendation that would make the room appear bigger (my idea would have made the room look smaller). They were right. The final job looks beautiful! The job took 2 days due to the size of the room in addition to covering a dark paint with light. They were punctual, thorough and very neat. You will love these guys!

Art and his co-worker, Les, completely re-did the outside of a house I have for sale, and it was A LOT of work. If you saw the before and after photos, you would be amazed! The house went from looking rundown to looking GREAT, and the price was very reasonable. Plus, they had to put up with me adding things on and changing things. Thanks Art and Les!

Went great. A great value!

Did a good job. Didn't fill in the nail holes was really my only complaint. Very nice man to work with.

Art was on time. Kept in touch with us keeping us abreast of the status. Very friendly and professional. Paid attention to detail and took a interest in minor things that sometimes just do go as planned. Art agreed to come back and do touch up work after countertops and backsplash complete. We are still waiting on completion of countertops but that is someone else.

Art was not only on time when he came to give me the estimate, he was a few minutes early. Also early when he came to do the work. How often does that happen? He did the work on a Saturday, which was great for my schedule. He brought someone to work with him and they primed and painted everything in less than 6 hours.The paint job looks great. These guys don't even tape off and their lines are perfectly straight! They were tidy, they took one ten-minute break and I am thoroughly pleased. I had gotten an estimate from another painter that friends recommended whom I would have used but after the estimate I could never get the guy to call me back. Art's price was $15 higher, included the material and I didn't have to wait weeks for him to show up. Pretty happy the other guy blew me off-very happy with the job Art did.

He did all that he said he would and more. He took pride in his work. I would hire again.

Art was my second bid the day I hired him. It was on the follow up phone call about his bid and an idea for a bathroom that was workable for my situation plus his mild manner that sold me. He got me out of a bind after another contractor walked off the job and the carpet layers were due within the week that had already been rescheduled twice. He was punctual, fast and clean, had a really nice helper, and followed up. I wish him much success.

He showed up on time to give me a bid on the whole house. I didn't have the cash on hand to pay for the whole job, so he worked with me and we wound up not painting 4 bedrooms which he will paint at a later date. Now the house is painted and it looks just like a new house. Me and my wife are very happy with the results. Art is an independent contractor (918)734-5306)
