Steven did a very good job, although he did not cut all the branches agreed upon under his quote his first trip out.
I had taken photographs and marked on prints the branches I thought should be removed and asked his opinion on others while he was at the house for the quote.
He didn't have his stump grinder that time and we discussed over the phone that he would come back with that.
I noticed later that not all the branches had been removed. I called and he removed them when he came back out with the stump
grinder. He had left the photographs at home when he came the first time.
I think he is a good guy, and I does better work for the price than others I've tried. But, I will take photos again next time to document our agreement. I know he was also busy due to having an Angie's list special.
I had used Anderson's Tree Service a couple of times in the past for small jobs. I asked Stephen to trim a couple of very large trees at a rent house I owned. He and a helper arrived on time. It was even on a holiday, which neither of us realized when we had set up the appointment. I was there to make sure all of the limbs I wanted cut got done. Stephen was very patient with me as I had him climb up and down the tree as I found even more limbs that needed to be taken care of. He was quick and worked hard. The project took about 3 hours.
Overall, I have been pleased with Anderson's Tree Service and will continue to use them on future projects
coupons. I agreed no need to use coupons if we agree on the prices, which we
did for $300. Came a week later and started trimming the trees as agreed. He
mentioned coupons were no longer available online half way through the job, but
I didn?t think much of it since we agreed on a set price without coupons. After
work was completed and paid him $300 cash.
He said this is not what we agreed on, it was $500, but it will be $300
with coupons; knowing well the coupons were no longer available and he could
have said price has changed before starting the job. I offered to meet him half
way and give him another $100 (total of $400) after he became belligerent. He
refused and I called the police to deescalate the issue. Called me names, tried
to get me in trouble with the police because of my car tag and was telling my children
their father was a rat. Very unprofessional and immature
NEVER use his services even if his bid was the cheapest. My
mistake I trusted him on his word. My advice
is require a written contract agreement with anyone you hire
I purchased an Angie's List special ($99 for $200) for tree trimming. I was contacted by Steven Anderson the day after I purchased the special. He came out the same day to give an estimate and we set an appointment to complete the work for the following week.
Steven showed up on time with one crew member. He was very friendly and wanted to make sure that I was pleased with his work. The work consisted of removing several large limbs from a pecan tree and trimming a few limbs from a couple of other trees. He even cut a few limbs that weren't part of the original deal at no further charge. He hauled the limbs to the street and shredded. I was overall very pleased with Steven and the job he did. While it was a small job, he had further recommendations for work that I may have done in the future. I wouldn't hesitate to call Anderson Tree Service when I have other tree work to be done.
