Workers were professional and friendly once they worked on air ducts but before that there was a lot of pressure of a hard upsell services which is why I rated overall a B instead of an A.
So a warning to customers to not be intimidated and be willing to let them leave
If they strongly pressure or insist on an upsell.
Here are more details of my Experience.
In general I had a good experience with Air Doctor Tulsa with a slight warning or strong heads up to Angie's list members.
I needed air ducts cleaned due to the past when dogs and cats were in the house.
The company and the two guys they sent guys that work there are professional and know what they are doing and have very good equipment to do a good service.
My warning is they do put quite a lot of pressure in the beginning before starting their work for the customer to upgrade or have fixed by replacement their rust issues or possible future pending issues they see and say you may have with the ductwork.
They have a camera on a long cord that they put down your vents to see the condition of duct work before they start.
They say they do this to have a strategy to see how they will approach your system.
In a way that's good to see and know however there is quite a lot of pressure that they put on the customer to upgrade or further fix their rust issues or pending issues with the ductwork.
They do give you a strong impression with the innuendo and feeling lingering that they might not be able to clean the ducts for you.
I think after about 40 minutes of their looking for potential problems and showing me rust and pointing stuff out to me on their camera screen they realized I was just not biting the bait.
I was not going to fix my air ducts unless I absolutely had to and it probably wouldn't be with them.
I would get a second opinion before doing that.
I understand the service company would like to have a $4,000- $5,000 job if they can get that versus a $500 job.
In my mind I was thinking if they said they couldn't do my cleaning I would just call my 2nd choice on Angie's list and have them do it.
So once we got over that whole concept that there may be problems with your duct work hurdle and they realized I wouldn't budge they took all their equipment and did an excellent job.
To be fair, they were aware that there were more rusted or sensitive ducts in certain areas, so on those they did not use a whip blower cleaner tool but a gentler ball air blower cleaner tool.
In general I could've done without the hard sell in the beginning however once that was all over the two guys were friendly, capable, and did a good thorough job. It all took 4 hours.
If for some reason in the future the duct rust gets worse and causes a problem 5 to 10 years from now I will deal with it then and even if that were the case I would get several bids on it before doing it.
They do offer a 50% discount for cleaning your dryer vent since they are already there. So it was $70 instead of $140.
My dryer vent is on the roof. They had to made sure they and their equipment went all the way up some 18 feet. They cleaned it well and thoroughly. I appreciated their attention to doing a very good job.
