Steve and his son arrived at about 10 AM, with all they needed to replace my kitchen floor. By 2 PM, they were finished. Very efficient.

Should have posted this review sooner. Spent less money on hardwood floor redo than the last owner spent on bad cheap carpet. Company owner made a point to come by daily and check in. His workers went above and beyond to do an EXCEPTIONAL job!! You can’t even see transition from original floors to newly redone. Ive recommended A Thousand Woods to my real estate gal and all of my friends.

They work done was perfect. They were very professional. Checked on the work after it was completed. The staff was great and very polite.

The work was completed within the time frame originally quoted.  Both Steve Way and the refinisher, Carlos, took time to explain what the best option was for us, since the floors had been carpeted since the house was built in 1947.  There was a lot of stains, so we were advised that a darker finish than we had originally planned would minimize the appearance of the worst areas.  We really like the look!  
Sometimes  Carlos and his assistant would arrive an hour or two later than they had planned, but we knew they were working on other projects at the same time.  They always stayed until they finished the work that needed to be completed that day - sometimes until 8 pm.  Jeremy, who installed the flooring where there had been floor furnaces, also did an excellent job.
We don't know how well the finish will hold up over time, but we're hopeful, with ongoing care on our part, that it will continue to look as good as it does now.  Daily dusting is much easier than dragging out a vacuum every few days (kind of necessary when you have pets)!

The procedure went very smoothly. There were no delays or problems.

Fantastic the house is amazing

Wonderful! We Are thrilled with this company! We recently moved to the Tulsa area and purchased a home In which we wanted to add wood floors. They needed to match an adjoining room and hallway. They showed great attention to detail and were very careful moving about the home without damaging any walls or property. I would definitely use them again. Highly recommend!

The floor looked like new. Including replacing flooring that had water damage!  They are shiny and beautiful. Steve is very knowledgeable and I did not know before his visit that the floors weren't true hardwoods. They certainly look like new hardwoods now. Thank you Steve!

I bought my house 'as is' and the wood floors were in hideous condition with the poly and a lot of the stain worn away and some deep stains, apparently from pets.  I wanted to get this fixed before I moved in, with plenty of time for the floors to dry, and Thousand Woods was able to accommodate my schedule.  They were very thorough with sanding and were careful to protect the rest of the house and my HVAC system from the dust.  They stained samples directly on the floor so I could see what the colour would look like on that specific wood.  This was very helpful and I choose a mix of two different stains that came out beautifully.  After the floor was finished they cleaned up and hauled away their trash.  I am very please with the job they did and their professionalism and will hire them again when I am ready to add hardwood to the family room.

Steve and his crew showed up on time and promptly took care of the damaged hardwoods.  They were very friendly and professional and the floor looks great!  We were a smaller job, but he treated us just as well as I assume he would a big customer.

I left Steve a message and he returned my call within an hour.  He came to my house the next day to measure and answered questions we had about recoating vs. refinishing, and I was happy that he wasn't pressuring us to do the more expensive refinish.  He emailed us two estimates a few days later.  It would be $1911 to sand, stain, and put two coats of  poly down, or $831 to buff the existing finish and add one coat of polyurethane. (He did add the disclaimer that because we aren't certain what previous homeowners put on the floor, if they waxed it, it would flake and we would have to go back and sand and finish, which is what he told us when he came to the house.)
We chose to re-coat, and it looks gorgeous.  There are no bubbles or rough patches. I have found two small spots that look like something got stuck to the floor under the topcoat (a little white spot, like dried splattered milk), but they are both tiny, and we haven't seen any issues with the finish bonding, so we  are very happy.  I did not see Steve (the owner) at all the day the work was done, but the two men he sent seemed to know what they were doing. And it was all done in one morning.  We stayed off the floor for another 24 hours after, but it was quick and painless!  VERY happy.

Please see above.  Started out well, but deteriorated. Poor quality work.  When I spoke to owner/salesman about expecting floor to be sanded and stained, he informed me this was not reasonable and at such time as they did the entire house, they would sand and stain the patch in.

I can't begin to say how pleased we are with the price, responsiveness to our phone calls and e-mails, and promptness. The workmen came and got right to work and were very neat and clean, there was almost no dust. Most of all I want to mention the the "artistry" of the workmen. They were able to match the stain and polyurethan perfectly.

It is gorgeous and the pricing is about half of what another prospective vendor quoted. The work was great and they were professional, courteous and responsive to any needs we had. I will use them again in the future.

Steve Way went out of his way to help us install the flooring before we moved in. We moved from another state and much of our discussions were via email. First off, I called three other flooring companies off Angie's List and none of them answered their phones. Steve answered personally. He was going out of town the day we were going to be able to get into our soon-to-be home, but he arranged for one of his crew to leave another big job they were working on to come by and measure the area. I did have to call him the next week when he got back from his trip, but after that he was great about responding to emails and phone calls. He emailed an estimate; then readjusted the estimate after I asked for modifications. We ordered our laminate product according to his specifications. They picked up the work product and arrived at the house as scheduled. They supplied the moisture barrier and got everything done by the next day. They also cleaned up everything and took away the old carpet. The floor looks fabulous. We will want more flooring done in the near future and will go back to 1000 Woods for the job.

Outstanding - Steve is knowledgeable and patient. Work was performed on-time and on-estimate. Workers were very careful - no mess or mishaps. Final result was great - really transformed the floors. We would highly recommend you contact this company if you are considering refinishing wood floors.
