Our old refrigerator was going bad and the cost of repairing was too high for a 12 year old unit to be practical. The cabinet above the fridge was low enough that it restricted our choice of new models that were taller than our old one. We hired Dan Doughty to trim the edge of the cabinet to raise it an inch (as much as could be cut from the edge board without doing major rebuilding of the cabinets). Dan did the cutting, smoothing and re-staining (we still had the original stain from 10 years ago) in less than an hour. It was a very professional job with a straight, smooth cut. We were very impressed by Dan's attention to neatness, as he used the saw with one hand while holding the hose from his shop vacuum in the other. This was a very small job for him, but we were very pleased with his work and a new Whirlpool fridge fit in without a problem.
