In 2007 Joe did the pad and driveway for the mobile home we built for my parents on our property. We were recently in need of earth moving (bulldozing) services and I still had Joe's card so I gave him a call.
I called Joe last Tuesday or Wednesday (August 13th or 14th). He said he could come out and give us an estimate the next evening. He asked me to give him a call the next afternoon to remind him and verify it was still good to come out. I tried calling him from my work phone but got no answer. Then my cell phone rang. He didn't answer because he was calling me! He wanted to verify we were still on. Positive #1: Good communication.
I said yes we'd be home no later than 5:30. We usually get home earlier, but in case we were delayed at work or in traffic I didn't want to make him wait. We arrived home at 5:00 and he was waiting for us. Positive #2: Reliability and punctuality. He said he'd be there and he was there.
We agreed to go ahead with the work and on Monday morning at around 7:00 Joe, one son (it's a family business), and another employee arrived with the second piece of equipment. (I should mention that we knew they'd be there as they dropped off a bulldozer on Sunday afternoon so the equipment would be there right away!) Punctual again!
By 4:15 P.M. the guys were finished and were lubing the equipment for the next job. The grading was done well, the job was done quickly, and the two guys working the machines were attentive to our needs. They always asked if we needed something graded more level, or how high or large we wanted certain areas, etc. They left the equipment overnight so that when they came bacjk in the morning they could change or fix anything we were unhappy with or needed. Positive #3: Attentive to our needs.
In less than one week we had a huge project completed. Joe and his employees were friendly, polite, hardworking, punctual, and communicated well.
The experience was as great as you can expect when you're parting with $3000! LOL I have recommended Joe's service to one neighbor already.
