Shawnee Pitt Stop was very thorough. They found several problems that was caused by the previous company that we had used for the same need (an oil change). On 3/18/2014 my husband took our 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee in for an oil change. Shawnee Pitt Stop found several problems caused by the folks that had done the previous oil change by Kwik Kar.
The oil plug in the oil pan had been put in so tight that there was concern that it would strip and ruin the oil pan itself. The plug was obviously put in using an impact wrench. Any moron knows you only tighten these plugs hand tight, they are never tightened to extremes.
The car came with a cover on the oil filter, which was missing. "Kwik Kar" had left it off. We had to go to Chrysler and buy a new one, which we did and then it was installed properly by Shawnee Pitt Stop.
The air filter was excessively dirty which was caused by the air filter cover not being secured during the previous oil change. This was causing the irritating rattle we started hearing shortly after the service at Kwik Kar. The wind hitting the cover caused a constant vibration which sounded similar to a card placed in the spokes of a bicycle. Very very irritating!
I commend the employees at Shawnee Pitt Stop for their care nd diligence in correcting the problems caused by Kwik Kar . They did this at no additional cost to me. I will only use Shawnee Pitt Stop from now on.
