COLWELL HEAT & AIR

i received bids from six or more heat and air installers, they all were within 100 dollars of each other, so i chose colwell because they,, i thought were a local company and i had seen there trucks right here in ranch drive,, thought local co. would not only appreciate the close job but would give quicker, better service,, was i wrong. first off when they came to do the job they talked me into putting it in the attic instead of garage or utility room, so ok with that.. the unit was so loud i had to turn the T.V. up to drown out the noise the unit made. then when the heater would not ignite it took two days to get them out to look at it; remember this is a less than a month old unit installed by them. they told me some reason i don't remember,, but a week later, you got it,, it did the same thing this time their tech. said it was the thermostat, they put a new one on and a short time later it did it again,, this time they didn't show up for three days. my daughter, granddaughter, and i did with heat from the fireplace only. I messed with the thermostat, by pushing it in i could get it to come on. when i called this time they didn't show up before I lost my temper i bought my own replacement thermostat and when i installed it I found a wad of 4 wires that would not let the thermostat plug in all the way. shortened the excess wire and did a clean up job on the way the wire fit.. Now we get to the clencher, i have been receiving a repair bill for $96.00 plus interest on a job that in all rights should have been a warranty fix. For all reasons and your own good do not use this company,, i have ask many times to meet with the, boss, owner, or manager to no avail .. there are many heat and air installer in this region use one of them.
