While I was away on a 3 week business trip the A/C unit went out and my husband made arrangements to have it repaired. Our unit is 17 years old and it has needed servicing about once a year for the last 5 years. The technician's assessment was that it was time for our 3.5 ton unit to be replaced and that for the size of our home we should install a 5 ton unit and that his company could provide us a quote. When the technician left, my husband was under the impression it was unrepairable and started opening windows. Since this is the second time that 2 heating and air companies recommended that we install a 5 ton, my husband and I were convinced that it was time and was bracing ourselves for the price tag. When I got home from my trip we still had not received a quote for the work so I started searching Angie's List. I started by looking at the reviews for the company my husband had hired and found very mixed results - which was unsettling. I then decided that if I'm going to spend thousands of dollars to replace my A/C unit then I should start by checking the reviews of my local heating and air companies first - and that is how I found Doug Larimer, Air Design Heating and Air. Doug returned my call within 30 minutes, we made an appointment and he was right on time. He assessed our home for the 5 ton installation and explained the major duct work modifications that would be required. He then offered another less expensive option that installing a 4 ton would not require duct work modifications - but before digging into the details, Doug asked if he could look at our A/C unit first and within 20 minutes he had it up and working! Doug was professional and personable and didn't mind answering any of my questions. I would definately recommend Doug Larimer, Air Design Heating and Air, to anyone!

Doug Larimore is the owner. I have known him for years and he has done work for me for over 30 years. I used to run a bunch of commercial buildings so he was doing them, too. He is good on both residential and commercial work. He is very good. I will use him again in the future.
