JET TRUCKING LLC

I ordered a load of dirt for the garden. An appointment was made for 5:30 p.m., so I could be there after work and tell him where to dump it. Between 3:30 and 4:00 p.m., I got a call from home saying the man called, and he is on his way. I had to abruptly stop work and leave. When I arrived home, the man was sitting on my porch. He asked if I saw his truck. I said no. He walked me around the side of the house and showed me his dump truck stuck axle deep in my yard! He called and got another guy out (in another dump truck) to try to pull him out. Their chain broke. He couldn't pull the truck out. It was in too deep. At this point, that part of my yard is destroyed. (A couple of neighbors had joined me in the back yard. They couldn't believe what was happening.) They called a tow truck to pull the truck out. Once the truck was out, I had over 100 foot ruts in my yard, from just a couple of inches deep at the front to 14 inches deep where he got stuck. I told them I wanted the load of dirt for my garden for free and two more loads to fix the destruction they caused to my yard. He refused. He still made me pay $60 for the load I ordered for $120. I kept telling them that I made the appointment, so I could be there when he arrived, and I could tell him where to dump the load--which was on the other side of the house. I knew the back yard was way too soft for a dump truck. I was so frustrated and angry that the guy didn't wait for me, so I could tell him where to dump the load of dirt. I had a couple of guys come out to give me an estimate to fix the yard. One guy wanted a couple hundred bucks to smooth it out and seed it. Another guy wanted $2,000 to landscape it nicely. I just did the best I could by tilling it and smoothing it myself. Jet does not get a second chance from me. I will never use them again, and I always tell people who are thinking about getting a load of dirt not to use Jet.
