+ -1 moreAfter evaluation of the project, he gave me a bid of $500 which included the paint, materials and labor. He did minimal moving of furniture and non breakables. Upon moving into the home, I tried to keep the area free of furniture since I knew I would be painting. I was very pleased with the quality of work. However, I was disappointed of the final cost being $650. His reasoning was it needed 2 coats of paint rather than just one. From past experience, generally a wall typically takes 2 coats for a clean, presentable finish. I was surprised of his oversight on this. The next time I need my home painted I will be certain to receive additional bids from others to receive a fair price.
Description of Work: I recently moved into my home, which had been freshly painted by the previous owner. I did not care for the color so opted to have it painted. The painter prepped my walls by filling in nail holes. He proceeded to paint the great room and kitchen walls with two coats of Benjamin Moore paint. These two rooms are interconnected as one large open area. The ceiling height is 9 foot. He did not paint the ceiling. The entire job took 2 days.
