It turned out that he does not really know how to prune trees properly. He buchered my trees and left the job unfinished. He also does not really have any steady help. He ended up doing a lousy  job working alone with the exception of the help of a high school boy for one day.  The worst part is that he did irreparable damage to my evergreen trees. He cut a hedge row of 30 year old arbovitae shrubs back so severely on one side that they are still completely bare where he cut them.  You can't  replace a 30 year old tree for any amount of money.  I told him I was not happy with the situation and I tried to work with him but he never responded.  Finally I filed a report with the Better Business Bureau and he never responded to them either.

He does not really know how to trim trees. He made all kinds of bad cuts leaving long stubs in some places and big holes other places. He absolutely butchered my arborvitae hedge with a chain saw, removing all foliage on one whole side, when he was told specifically to cut only a few broken branches. He does not have any regular help. On my job he only had help on one day. He ran in and out only working 2 or 3 hours at a time and I think he just did not spend the time necessary to do the job right. He seemed to have a lot of other things going on at the time and was constantly distracted from the work I hired him to do. He left the job unfinished and refused to come back and make it right. I feel that I contracted for 3 experienced people to work for 7 days and I got 1 unmotivated person working part-time for 6 days.
