THIS TWO YEAR PAINT JOB IS PEELING AS IF THERE WAS NO PRIMER APPLIED. IT ACTUALLY APPEARS TO BE WEARING OFF PLACES. THE PAINT WAS SPRAYED ON AND IS ON THE BRICK, SCREEN/STORM DOOR FRAMES, GLASS AND HARDWARE. THE PAINT IS PEELING EVEN UNDER THE PROTECTED (I.E. UNDER THE OVERHANGS) AREAS.
HORRIBLE JOB! DON'T EVER USE WEST!
"West Painting, Inc. became aware of this review on 2/3/12. Had we been contacted by the memeber, we would have responded immediately. After reading his remarks, I contacted him on 2/4/12 and inspected his home on 2/5/12. The member wasn't able to meet with us for the inspection, however; his wife was present. Had he met with us we would have told him that he did have a Foreman on his job at all times (Ely) and that his home was thoroughly sanded and primed (with an oil base primer), caulked (60 year caulk), and finished with two coats of Sherwin Williams (Super Paint). As for pealing paint: no pealing paint was located under the eaves, but on gables facing north, all of which were hit severely by the May 2010, hail storm. As for being rude, the member said, in one conversation the company owner was being short in answering questions in yes and no form. For that I apologized. West Painting, Inc. has hundreds of satisfied customers each year, with many being repeat customers. We provide full warranty on all our work."
"This was the third project we painted for Member, in as many years. This project was bid on an hourly basis with an estimated time frame, based on projects listed in the original contract. The original scope of work was increased by adding all woodwork, patching and repairing staircase risers, painting the family room ceiling, matching and repairing faux finished walls in dining room. As for the upstairs bedroom ceiling, every coat applied to the ceiling (within minutes) developed bubbles. Each time the bubbles were scraped off and skimmed with drywall mud. Each time the bubbles appeared it became clear the previous paint was no longer holding as it was coming off with our paint. As a result we had to remove the previous layer of paint and skim coat again. Resulting in more hours. After carrying this job for two weeks without a draw, we billed member for the hours completed, as she was leaving town for two weeks. She became upset that she was being billed for a job that was incomplete an she could never seem to grasp the real issue on the bedroom ceilings. Our intentions was to complete the touch-up when she returned from vacation. However, she never gave us the opportunity to return."
"West Painting, Inc. became aware of this review on 2/3/12 and we were never notified of a problem, by Member. Had we been notified, we would have taken care of the problem. We have been unsuccessful in contacting Member, however, his non-existing address in Nichols Hills, Ok. was of no help. Also,without a date of completion, we were unable to locate his contract. As for an hour and a half charged to his job for travel, I assure you, picking up 1 gal. of paint was not my only responsibility towards that project. My hours are always conservatively figured. Leaving a bedroom incomplete for two weeks, much less two days would be unheard of. West Painting, Inc. has hundreds of satisfied customers every year. We fully guarantee all our work."
