Vera's Posh Paws

Seven-&-A-Half Hours!! We’ve used Posh Paws for day care, lodging and grooming for several months. Like all of you we want the best for our companion animal and this business appears to be no better or worse than many others in this area. However, we won’t be back after our last dealings with Posh Paws. If you are considering grooming there you might want to read further regarding what happened to us recently. We had an appointment and dropped off our dog just prior to 9:00 am, just at the groomer was arriving. This is a small dog; five hours later I called to see when he would be ready. I was informed that two other customers had “pressured the groomer to get their pets done sooner”. This sounded like two clients that came behind us were moved ahead of our appointment. At seven hours I called again and was advised he was being finished up. Finally, at 7 ½ hours I had enough and drove there and told the two individuals at the front I wanted my dog regardless of his condition. When I complained about the absolutely ludicrous time frame one of the personnel stated “we’ve been busy”. Really, 7 ½ hours to groom a 20-pound dog! The other simply stared at me like I was over expecting. At no time did anyone there so much as entertain the thought of expressing some small form of an apology. Not very good business sense. The groomer has always done a good job with our dog and we’ll miss that. But, if you let other customers muscle their way into a shorter time frame while my dog sits in a cage for most of the day; well, there are other kennels and groomers elsewhere. Even if their comeback is they were busy or many other clients were ahead of us (and I seriously doubt that), then someone should have made that clear at check-in and not 7 ½ long and unnecessary hours later. Extremely poor customer service all around.

Most recently, seven day stay during a family vacation. My dog so happy to play but kinda homesick. Vera's contacted me via FB to let us know they were adding chicken broth and peanut butter to her diet to "up" her calories since she was eating her kibble very eagerly. Soooo grateful! They also let us know everyday how she was eating since I'm a helicopter mom (?) & was worried. Very very impressed & recommend them to anyone wanting excellent & responsible care for their fur babies!

We took a happy, healthy dog to Vera's Posh Paws for overnight boarding. Five days later, we picked up a filthy, extremely sick, dejected dog. We had paid for grooming to be done the day we picked her up, appears nails & feet trimmed, not shampooed, not brushed, dirty ears. A week later and $350 vet bills, we still have a very sick dog. This is our first experience with boarding, and our last. We have told our vet, family & friends to never consider Vera's Posh Paws for boarding!!

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Vera's!  Our dog has been going to daycare here for about a year and he comes home exhausted and happy each time.  Every staff member I have been in contact with has been extremely friendly and professional.  They have happily allowed me to drop my dog off earlier (numerous times) on days I have had conflicts with work.  This has made my life SO much easier and their flexibility is greatly appreciated.  My boarding experience has been just as awesome as well.  Unlike other boarding facilities I have used in the past, Vera's allowed me to pack toys, bedding, food, etc. in order to make my pup feel at home while we were away.  I would highly recommend Vera's!

They were all really nice. My dog came home super worn out, which was nice. He seemed really happy. They have cameras and I requested a little nap time for him. It was overall a great experience.

I've taken my snorkie to camp bow wow in 2012 for several overnight stays . Staff was disorganized then when it was Camp Bow a wow but since it changed to a sole proprietor it was great. Dog was bathed and ready for pick up at the time we requested. Dog feeding instructions seemed to be followed. Love that Online Doggie App is available for iPhone now!! Price remained the same as Camp BowWow, but worth it for piece of mind .

I've been using Vera's since it was under a previous franchise name. Same staff remembered my dog and her and quot;quirksand quot; and were very helpful in making her feel comfortable. Dropped of our dog in the evening before closing and picked her up in the morning after opening six days later. Previously, I've called when running late and the staff waited for me to arrive before closing. Good people and a good place to leave your dog.

They are very good. They used to be Camp Bow Wow and they just switched. I buy packages. I bought $100 package and it gave me 5 half days of dog sitting. The experience has been excellent. I like the employees. They are all friendly and helpful. The price is reasonable. They are located fairly close to me; it is between 5-7 miles. They are open 24 hours a day 365 days a year for dog boarding and daycare. They also do grooming.
