Good for home, not for commercial. Did an acceptable job for a home project, but bringing them in on a commercial project was a big mistake. Told me they would be installing everything on Monday, only to find out that they couldn't even get parts for several weeks. Then magically when I notified them I was firing them, the parts appeared.

This work was all performed while we were living in the home.  Tom and his associates were in our home for about two weeks with very little mess or interruption of service.  They were prompt and professional.  They cleaned up after themselves and all work was accomplished with minimal service interruption.  When they began the job, they told us that we MIGHT be without electrical service for a day or two, but they were able to restore our power every evening so that the down time (power-wise) was all during the day while we were at work.
If you need to have an older home re-wired (or any other electrical work), they are well versed in the ins and outs of older homes and the requirements to bring everything to code.  I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a dependable, reliable and professional electrical contractor.

We just finished up with them this past week, although the representative wasn’t actually in the house working at that point.  It was a pretty straightforward electric contract work and he did a great job on that.  While doing the installation, he told me that he represented a company called Lutron, which offered whole house systems for controlling lights and heating with a smart phone.  He demonstrated it for me and he sold me on it; it was a great idea.  It took several months to get it installed.  I don’t blame him for that.  It was getting the parts ordered than the electrical work that took a long time.  He actually got it installed, but it turned out he didn’t know how to make it work, and it took months.  That’s the reason I just finished up within this past week.  I finally had to complain to the company and get referred to another contractor who knew how to do it, and who came in and fixed it.  In terms of straight electrical work itself, I would recommend them as they did a great job, but I won’t take anything from them that are free, are high-tech like computers or whole home systems or that sort of thing and I won’t recommend that as they didn’t do a good job.  He installed the system, but he couldn’t program it and he couldn’t do any of the other stuff.  I finally got it resolved by complaining to the company that manufactures the system, and they referred me to another contractor who did a great job by fixing all the things that Tom King Electric couldn’t do.  The pricing was fair and they showed up when they were supposed to.  I would not use their services again.
