+ 1 moreTim was paid 50% in advance for materials and never started the job. He repeatedly promised to start on at least three different dates but never showed up. He eventually stopped returning phone calls. He had previously completed a deck for me. I later discovered it was not completed according to code (despite me giving him all code requirements in writing). You are taking a huge risk hiring this guy. Definitely do not trust him with any advance payment.
