Rain Soft

We too, were approached after a Home Depot purchase. The salesman definitely had a good show and we signed up. We never have received the cleaning products promised but I haven't pushed it because I figured if they send them we'll be forever hounded to buy more.  I have two issues with this company. First, the plumbers they chose to install it (Red Dirt Plumbing) installed pipes from the garage through the pantry and laundry room, behind the fridge and to the kitchen sink. I wasn't prepared for that but if it had to be done that way it had to be done that way. However, they left sawdust along the entire path. Subsequently, when a plumber came out to install something on our water heater he said Red Dirt had installed the cut off valve on the wrong side of a pipe (I don't remember exactly what he said--something about if we wanted to cut off water from something we couldn't. Then, in May 2013 (see Issue #2) when a Rain Soft tech came out for a service call he said something was installed wrong and that Red Dirt should have trained us in salt replacement and recalibrating the system, etc.
Issue #2: I was dismayed with Ran Soft for making us wait nearly two weeks when we called for service. The tech found a burst hose that had been leaking water into our coat closed--he said this was due to improper installation by the plumbers.
We really like our system now that it's working again. The quality of our water declinned so gradually it wasn't until dishes came out of our dishwasher looking worse than when they went into it we called for service. What a difference it makes when it's working properly.

The salesman was prompt & polite.  The installers were also very nice & quick to please.  My only complaint is with the delivery of the products that were to be shipped not being delivered in a timely fashion & not being informed of the status of the delivery.
