Powerlift came highly recommended from a colleague. However, our experience was much less than desirable. Steve came out and gave us a quote --he was very personable and polite. When the crews arrived and began their work, apparently there was some "extra" work that needed to be completed before they could continue. This extra work almost doubled the already extremely high price --from around $18K to $32K. We were told that the cracks in the bricks might not appear differently and that we would need to have them repaired but with the piers we should have no further issues. BTW -- the landscaping was a mess! Bushes were left unplanted and concrete piles were randomly distributed around our property --super messy! We did hire a mason to repair all of the cracks outside and a contractor made repairs in our sheetrock. Today, you cannot even tell that we spent 32K to get things fixed. We have cracks in our brick exterior and cracks in our sheetrock. Steve did come back (twice) and each time makes some excuse of what is happening but of course, it is not due to the work that they did. :( I am totally disappointed every single time I walk out of my front door. I would not recommend.

Powerlift came out and had the job done in 2 days. There was minimal damage to the yard and we are told it shouldn't move again. I was very impressed with the quality and timelyness of this company. I hope I never have to call for foundation repair again, but if I do then I trust they will get the job done correctly.

They also did masonry repair on cracks in the fascia brick on the rest of the house. The owner came out and looked at the house. He was very knowledgeable in his recommendations. A lot of times you'll find the foundation repair, people want to tear the whole house and it's very expensive to be done. But he said no, we're going to deal with the things to be done to give life to the house and I really appreciated that. The guys that came out and did the work were very quick. They really went out of their way to help us out.

The initial meeting went as scheduled and the game plan and price was agreed to based on their analysis of my problem.  Nine piers were to be installed at two locations.  We scheduled the work for the following month at my request.

The Power Lift team appeared on time as planned and began work immediately.   One area of our foundation was a bit of a surprise because the builder had utilized a significant amount of excess concrete in that area of the stem wall footing.  This resulted in a considerable amount of excess labor to remove the concrete but permitted the use of a different type of pier which eliminated one of the originally planned piers.

In conclusion they installed 8 piers and resolved the structural issues as initially identified and discussed.   The bill was significantly less than the initial estimate since one planned pier was ultimately unnecessary and they absorbed the additional labor on the excess concrete removal (a couple of hours of extra work).

The damage to our foundation plants and shrubs was minimal given the nature of the work required.  Clean up was okay when you recognize this is not a landscape company.

Time will tell just how effective Power Lift's solution to our problem has been but to this point I'm pleasantly surprised and pleased with the service they provided.   I would not hesitate to recommend them.

This was the second (first official) quote I received, and was half the price of the first bid, because Powerlift determined I didn't need as many piers as the first company had said. The workers were polite, punctual, efficient and neat. They kept me informed at every step. The work has a lifetime guarantee and they promised to return if I needed anything more. Because I'm selling my house to move out of state, I appreciate that the guarantee goes with the house (a standard of the industry, I think). The scheduler made special arrangements to fit in with my timing.

After researching Angie's List, talking to two former customers, and examining material provided by the company, I decided to choose this company to remedy problems with a sinking foundation on one side of our house. The on-site estimate provided by Randall was very professional and informative. After doing some research, I was impressed by the confidence that local realtors and structural engineers had for this company's work.

The work crew, headed by Gayland, arrived on time and were courteous, professional, and informative. During the hydraulic lift procedure, a large, unsightly zigzag crack virtually disappeared on an interior wall. But ,as I was pre-warned, not all interior/exterior cracks were eliminated. The workers also used a mortar-like patching substance to restore the appearance of one of the largest exterior cracks. They did a good job in protecting border plants and restoring the appearance of the landscape.

Overall, the project performance met or exceeded my expectations. They installed 9 piers that extended all the way to rocky substrata--not just 3 or 4 feet into the clay subsoil. Although the cost per pier is pricier than some competitors, I feel confident in the reliability and quality of their work. I would use this company again for foundation issues.

The process went well.  The guys were on time and knew what they were doing.  The company was very reasonable on payment.  Since this repair was part of a home sale transaction, they allowed us to pay them via the title company at closing.  My only complaint was the cost.  It was 50% more than one competitor and 100% more than another.  But, our engineer insisted on using this company.

First, do not contract anyone to repair your foundation without an analysis by an INDEPENDENT structural engineer.  Otherwise, you are just buying piers and adding to your problems.
Unless you are trying to sell the house, try to postpone foundation repair.  My experience is they will destroy more than they fix.
Powerlift personnel are very personable and seem to be honest; however, they don't appear to have the slightest idea about how to repair a foundation.
I contracted them to stabilize the back of my house.  Nothing more.  I took a day off and waited for them.  No shows.  When I got them on the phone, they told me they had a meeting but would be there the next day.  I couldn't be off the next day, so I had to trust them to only do what I asked.
When I came home, I found they had jacked up the back of my house to level it.  This was not what I asked.  They had lifted it so high the interior floor had sagged in the middle and a new crack had appeared.  When I questioned them, they said something on the order of "it was common and you should get a drywall guy to repair the crack".  Not covered under the warranty.
After a significant drought, the interior floor had sagged more, the crack in the wall progressed down the length of the wall, the tile flooring in the kitchen started popping loose.  Now our brand new kitchen cabinets are sitting above the floor instead of on it.  Damage has progressed to the HVAC system and plumbing.
I called their rep and told him the house was overlifted and needed to be let down.  He told me that it couldn't be overlifted and probably needed some interior piers.  I told him no.  Let's leave it alone.
I finally got a crew out last fall to adjust the garage piers that had failed.  The rep never showed up -- kept saying he hadn't forgot about me, but he was very busy.  They sent a crew out at my insistence.  The crew did some measurements and decided the house was lifted too high.  This was the same crew that overlifted thee house to begin with.  They said they needed to let the house down or the floor could collapse.  I was happy they finally agreed with me.
As the drought has continued, the interior has sagged even more and our new pergo flooring is now ruined, plus additional interior walls are cracking.  When I call Powerlift, the office staff is very prompt, but the rep never shows up.  Keeps telling me he hasn't forgot about me, but obviously he has.
It's very obvious the piers are MOSTLY holding the footer up, but the interior is falling in.  I can't get them to show up to tell me what the solution should be, but I'm betting is more piers.
Now my house is broken.  Powerlift only warrants their d*** piers, and the lawyers will probably eat up the settlement if I sue them.

two piTheir bid guy recommended two piers instead of four as recommended by another well-known and more expensive bidder. If slippage recurred, they would add additional piers and charge the bid amount per pier.  Their price wasn't the cheapest, but it was reasonably competitive.  Selected on the basis of reputation, and time in business.

They started work on time, and worked efficiently on an very hot day.  They explained the process, and completed the work on a timely basis.  To date, the work has resulted in no further slippage of the wall.
