Messed up dogs hair cut. Shaved her belly when I specifically told them no shaving or trims.

It always goes very well. Just a little expensive.
My dog really like Darris, the guy who grooms him.

They've always been fair and taken good care of her. The vets are pretty fresh out of vet school, so they're young and interested in the animals.

We love the grooming salon at OKC's 63rd Street Petsmart. (In fact, we love it so much that we've been going there for years now.)
The folks there are always so kind and helpful, and even our otherwise skittish Corgi/Heeler mix, Ella, doesn't mind going in for her wash and cut.
The prices are very modest there, too. Highly recommended.

Animal Grooming
Long story short, we took our 2 miniature schnauzers here for their 3rd grooming. When I dropped them off, they had the names wrong and no appointment. I politely expressed that they had gotten both items wrong and could they please pay more attention to detail. That was at 10 a.m. 2 hours later I got a call from Banfield Hospital, PetSmart's in-store animal hospital. One of the girls was dead. I was having lunch in the middle of a restaurant when I got this call. It literally blindsided me and I involuntarily yelled "WHAT ?!!". Everyone, including the entire staff, heard me I'm sure. Instantly I'm crying and collecting my things as I try to retain some composure and bill the bill while still on the phone with them. I went there immediately and the manager met me at the front door. At this point I'm still in shock but not crying. Somehow, the entire store knew. It was like something out of a movie. When I walked in the entire store knew I was upset. We went to the back and there's my Gertie lying dead with blood and foam at her mouth. Even then they got her name wrong and called her Hildie ! I checked her name tag and called them on it ! I got the other schnau and they ushered us to a private room to say our goodbyes before they sent her off to OSU for a necropsy. They said this had never happened to them and that we'd have the results in a week. It was weeks later and the conclusion was that she died from asphixiation (lack of air). Hello ? How does that happen ? We'll never know for sure, but it was either A. an angry disgruntled employee purposely cutting off her air, which groomers have told me some in the industry use to control the animal, or B. they had her muzzled, left her unattended on a waist-high table, and she slipped off and hung herself. We prefer to think it was the latter. Either option is horrible. We cried and felt grief and pain, especially at the conditions and the futility of her unnecessary death, for weeks. We both took time off from work to console the survivor because, honestly, we were afraid to leave her alone for fear of her dying of a broken heart. We bought her a new "sister" the evening of the 2nd day off. To this day, we still go clear out of our way to Petco on the west side of town instead of Petsmart, half a mile away. Our experience was flawless with PetSmart until we had their grooming. Avoid at all costs IMHO. The groomer we were using just retired so I was on here finding another when I came across this ranking.

I am so happy with the groomer at Pet Smart and their price is great. They treat the dog gently and he looks wonderful after a visit with her. You never have to wait if you have an appointment. I highly recommend their pet grooming services.

My wife and I were very dissatisfied with the service provide. We had asked the groomer to not cut the facial hair and they did. We also asked the groomer to cut the dog's toenails, and they did not do that. Also, the work was not completed in the time promised and we felt the price we paid was too high.
