I utilized the services of Pawfecto Pet Salon for a number of years and would be hard-pressed to give them a rating below A+. I had used at least three groomers before discovering Pawfecto and my little sidekick resisted going to each of them. However, he did not give any hint of resistance toward being groomed at this salon. As a matter of fact, he looked forward to going due to the loving nature of Shannon and her crew. In addition, he always left looking exceedingly handsome.
I would be remiss if I didn't mention that on a rare occasion if I ever needed a special request it was handled promptly. My pal was always ready when promised and the schedule of fees were not excessive. After fourteen years there came a time that I had to give him up due to age-related illness. When Shannon became aware of my loss I can't begin to express the compassion that she conveyed.
"Thank you for your imput. This particular dog was extremely matted and the most humane thing to do was, in fact, to cut his hair off and start over. We hadn't seen the dog since April, he is a "Senior" citizen and in all honesty none of our Groomers had the heart to hurt him by trying to de-mat his coat. As the Manager, my mistake was in not calling the client to inform them ahead of time of how badly he was matted, and I certainly regret my mistake in that department. I fully support my Groomers decsion to strip the dog instead of putting him through a very painful dematting process. I believe the comment that was made was "it's hair and it will grow back". None of the pets that come here are "just dogs", they are family members and to the very best of our ability, we treat them as such. Again, I deeply regret that this particular client was so unhappy, and hope they are able to find a Salon that will be able to take the best possible care of their Westies."
