Overhead Garage Door

I was required to pay a $500 deposit (by credit card) for a replacement door and was given a date and time for installation. The installers never showed up and when I called the company, I was told the door had not been ordered yet and they would have to get back to me. On the return phone call I was told that they could not get the door I ordered and would "replace" it with something else. I asked them to cancel the order and refund my deposit. The salesman/tech then called me and told me he had put down the wrong model number on the order and could get me "a better door". I told him that I felt this was a bait and switch and did not want to go forward with the transaction and again requested the order be cancelled and my deposit be refunded. A company rep then called and asked what I wanted to do and I told her again: cancel the order and refund my deposit. She then said they couldn't do that and they had already placed the order for the original door, but it would take 2 weeks to be delivered. I again stated I wanted to cancel the order and have my deposit refunded. She said she would have to call her manager and then get back with me. I waited 2 days and heard nothing. When I called to inquire about the status of my refund, I was told that they would generate the request and send it to be processed. They could not give me a time frame for when I would receive my money back. I have filed a dispute with the credit card company and plan to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I have since contacted another business and was able to get the product I wanted for less money, no deposit and a guaranteed installation date.
