On March 19, I contacted several moving companies for an estimate on moving a wooden TV/entertainment center from our home to another home approximatey two miles away. This is a nice piece of furniture weighing over 100 pounds and measuring 70" X 42" X 24". The other companies were not equipped for a small job and gave us exhorbitant prices of well over $200 and over $300 for the service. Charles Stevenson at One Choice had a service fee of $65 plus $70 per hour with no hidden fees (one hour minimum). His service men were about 20 minutes later than expected but called to let me know. They carefully and quickly wrapped the piece and delivered it unscathed. They were very professional and courteous. The entire job was completed in less an hour. $135 is still a lot of money but is much less than we could have rented a truck and located help to move the item for us and much, much less than anyone else charged with excellent results. (Charles mentioned to me that he pays his movers a two hour minimum so that they are not motivated to "slow play" a one hour job).
