Mathis Brothers Furniture

We recently refurbished our living room and bedroom furniture. Because we were able, we decided to go with nicer, customized furniture for the first time in our lives. We built a customized couch and purchased two recliners, picking out the leather cover. All totaled, we spent over $20,000. After only a year's time, the leather on one of the recliners began to discolor (only one of the recliners is regularly used, so we swap it out every six months so the leather will wear equally). After visiting with numerous sales personnel, we received a call from customer service. They asked to put us on hold while they located the proper person to speak with us. Because I was working, I asked that they call back when they found the "proper person." They NEVER called us back. Finally, today, we called again and were told by a manager that there was nothing they could do. Really???? Why spend money for "quality" furniture when it wears out just as fast as less expensive furniture? The chairs cost over $1800 EACH! Mathis Brothers is a store that does not stand behind their furniture. I will no longer buy from them and will tell everyone I can about our experience! You need to re-read your core principles. We were met at the door by LaDonna Lee who escorted us to the bedroom section.  We described what we were looking for, and after not finding what we wanted, she took us to the Designer Furniture and showed us a fabulous bed.  It was not exactly what we were looking for, but fit our needs and desires perfectly.  We thanked her and left.  We returned a few days later after looking online and visiting a few other furniture stores.  We asked for LaDonna at the door and she met us and remembered us from several days earlier.  She took us right back to the bed and we decided to purchase the side tables as well.  She took care of the details at a computer in the area and we left with a delivery date promised.  The two delivery men brought the bed and side tables as promised. They efficiently put together the bed pieces together and placed them in our bedroom along with the side tables.  They did an excellent job quickly.

They have a very good selection.  It was okay.

Salesman (Robert Gallagha) was excellent.  He listened and did not try to push anything, Sales manager Mr Haddid was helpful in every aspect of the sale.  There was a problem preparing the furniture for pickup.  Loading crew damaged the furniture.  This was originally ordered on Christmas eve and picked up.  Mr Haddid said Mathis would replace the damaged goods.  Only obstacle was the delivery of new piece.  SInce I had picked up the original  Mathis brothers wanted to charge me to deliver piece that was intact since I originally picked up the furniture.  Rick with customer service took care of that problem.  New piece will be delivered Saturday at no charge.  Prices of furniture seem slightly high overall.  The price you see is the price you pay.  I purchase furniture for a handicapped person also who has a limited income.  I only wish Mathis Brothers would make price exceptions for these people.  Overall, I will continue to buy from Mathis Brothers furniture.

Delivered on thrs. - missing hardware to attach legs to table.  Supposed to order hardware and install on Fri.
I had to call customer service, after waiting all day Fri for delivery and found out hardware had not been ordered and installation would be delayed until Sat.  Waiting around Sat for call, which finally came 2:00pm.  Legs were attached to table.
Next day upon further inspection, I found staples on underside of table, some of which were sharp & pointed.  There should have been removed as part of the installation.  Also, I found 4 of 6 chairs with loose bolts connecting legs to chair seats.  Very poor quality control.

My sofa is just what I wanted. My salesperson was wonderful but customer service wasn't. They were horrid.

After finding the mattresses at Mattress Firm a bit expensive,I went to the new Mathis Bros sleep center in Norman. The salesman was quite helpful and only moderately aggressive. I told him my budget, and he did not try to talk me into a higher-priced mattress set, plus he knocked off the delivery charge. The mattresses were delivered the very next day. The installers called to say they were ahead of schedule, and were very professional in their removal of the old mattresses and set up of the new sets. As the beds are brand new, I can't testify yet to their quality, but they are very comfortable.

Bought a Lady Americana mattress and box springs from them.  within 30 days the bottom fell out of the box springs.  They did replace  this part.  Now 2 years later the box springs have fallen apart again and the mattress is sunk so much it looks like a bottomless pit.  Call Mathis Bros and they sent several pages of forms to fill out and return with 5 pix.  They make it almost impossible to get any warranty out of this product.  Totally worthless.

There are only two locations.  One in Tulsa and one in Oklahoma City.  I am not very happy with them right now so I am not sure that I would recommend them.  We bought a high-dollar mattress from them; it was a $1,500.00 mattress with a lifetime warranty and the side split out.  We were told that there would be no problem if anything happened, that they would replace it, they would pick it up and deliver it.  When I called, now I have to take a picture of it and send it through their website.  I don't know how we're supposed to send it if we don't have a camera.  It's just really a hassle.  When we bought it, because we bought the mattress cover, they didn't even sell us the right mattress cover.  We had to wait two weeks before we could get a mattress cover that would fit our bed.  That could have potentially voided our warranty.  They are very rude when you are asking questions.  I guess they are so big now that their customer service isn't good whatsoever.

Although our salesman, Ronald,  wasn't pressuring us to purchase like most of the furniture stores on Reno, he did seem to tail us quite a bit. We found a coffee table we really like and decided to take it with us in the box. During payment we were pushed to buy the warranty package that came with all this fancy stuff and cleaning materials. Then waited forever while the warehouse call our name to load the car with our box. Well our coffee table made in the car but not the cleaning supplies. So I called back and they said they would ship it to us. Well it's been about ten days and I still haven't gotten our package. I called back today to get them to send it again, we shall see if I ever get it.

I have purchased most of my furniture at Mathis Brothers and have for over 40 years.  I will continue to shop at Mathis Brothers.

Very Very BAD!!!!!!  Never Never Never Buy the Furniture Proection Plan from Mathis Brothers!

They delivered exactly what I asked for and it was not marked up when they delivered it. They put it in the exact spot that I wanted. I was happy. They delivered it in the morning just like they said they would.

I told him that I was the one that totally did it and caused the accident. They are going to replace it so I would have to say kudos to them. I didn't have to pay for the people that came to check it out. The people that Mathis Brothers sent out were from Tulsa and they come down when they get enough orders. Mathis Brothers has handled it very well and hopefully they still have another one; the lady said they had several of them. I was surprised and pleased because I don't shop there. I would use them again.

I had an accident with the dinette set where I ruined the finish on the top but I had the furniture protection plan so they replaced it for me. The price was very reasonable. They were very punctual with the original deliver and they called to tell me when they weren’t going to hit the window for the second delivery. They are professional, quick, and efficient. I’ve had really good luck with them.
