First of all let me say I did not come to the decision to euthanize my animal easily. It was a sad and life changing experience that I will never forget. Thankfully, the staff at Leighton Animal Hospital helped me through this difficult moment with genuine care and sympathy. They allowed me to stay with my pet the entire time and there method was very humane.

Price keeps going up, up, up and now he is one of the most expensive vets in town. But my major issue is he made me leave my 10 year old sheltie there overnight and didn't have the decency to tell me my dog had died during the night. I wonder if my sheltie didn't have some help from Dr. Leighton. He needs to retire. He is too old to practice and doesn't care about the animals anymore.

He is a fine veterinarian. It is a small operation but it is excellent and I believe that the animals receive good care. The price is competitive. My animals are like family and he takes care of them like a family doctor; that's all you need and the price doesn't matter.

I've just moved back to OKC after a 12 year absence and am delighted to learn that Dr. Leighton is still associated with his clinic. He took care of our pets (cats and dogs) for 9 years before I moved away and was the epitomy of a professional, caring, and trustworthy vet. (I had taken our cat to our old clinic only to learn Dr. Espy was dead and someone else had the clinic - and when I talked about crying over the death of a pet his wife/receptionist said, "My God! It's only a cat!" and I turned away and never went back.) Dr. Leighton on the other hand knows exactly how much a pet means in ones life.
