The job was never finished. They work like crazy for about the first two months. We had a lot of bad weather so there was 3 or 4 weeks that nothing was done do to snow or the site being to wet. Then the contractor after receiving about 75% of the total dollars bid and with about 30% of the project actually completed. The worker were pulled off the job and have never returned. No reason was ever given as to why they stopped. I am currently exploring legal options.
Description of Work: I hired Lagar Construction around December of 2006 to do a room addition 550 sq. ft. They began work 3 January 2007. They poured a slab and framed the shell of the add on. The people actually doing the work seem to Know what they were doing however the Contractor "John Crews" I believe to be a complete Con Man. He didn't know how to plan the build and every problem that was encountered with adding to the existing structure he missed. In short, I now believe this man to be nothing short of a Fraud. He appears to have taken me for about 30K and as of 23 May 07 he has done nothing for more than two Months. I do not recommend Lagar construction for anything.
