I contacted them before I hired them with a roof leak problem and he quickly corrected the problem as we were only getting an estimate. It all went well as for as I'm concerned and they done a very good job. Small showers it looks great but we just haven't had a big rain storm yet. I've not had any problems or difficulty with the repair or services. They identified a boarding requirement necessary as was required here in this area and all got fixed in a timely manner. Anytime I contacted them I got a positive response.

It was refreshing to have a company provide excellent service and not try to maximize the charge. We are remodeling a house and have dealt with many contractors, most of whom overcharged, made a mess and provided extremely poor service. J & M was very professional and did the work to correct another contractor's mistake. He got to it quickly and charged well below average cost would be. A trustworthy company. I will definitely use them in the future.

They did a pretty good job but I wasn't too pleased with them because I had to call them out because they missed some things. I asked them to repair a place on my house where I thought had rotten board and they hammered up a piece of metal on the side of my house. I had a handyman come out and he said they did the metal flashing wrong. When I called J and M about it they told me the crew that did the work didn't work for them. So they had a crew that they haven't even worked with before and the crew did a lousy job. So they subcontracted out the job to someone else. I spent about $3500.

Quick and professional

We're very satisfied with Jand M Roofing and would use them again. A neighbor recommended them and we checked reviews in Angie's List. Lynn worked tirelessly to answer all our questions and he and the staff went above and beyond to give us addresses of nearby homes that had a different color of roof we were considering. (We ultimately decided against that color after seeing it on a large scale, vs. color sample.) The office staff was very responsive and quickly provided anything we requested such as proof of insurance policy. The roofers worked very hard and professionally and were polite and considerate. They also reinstalled our satellite dish on the roof and had us verify it was working well before they left.
Only one thing I would recommend is the company advise homeowners in advance to cover with a drop cloth anything stored in the attic they don't want to be covered with dust and granules from the old roofing being removed. Not a biggie, but that process makes a bigger mess inside the attic than we would have anticipated.
The company has been in business many, many years and we're confident they would be around if we need them again.

The only major problem was tat it was very hot and crew would just disappear for hours at a time. I felt like they should have post-poned or re-scheduled rather than start, stop, start, stop and take much longer to finish job. Then on of the ridge shingles came off, they had to come back twice to repair.

I believe J and M did roofing repair and resealed the skylight in my front entrance. The only time the skylight leaked was after someone else had either replaced the area around the skylight or replaced the roof completely.

They gave us a good quote and did a good job. They cleaned up, and you wouldn't have known they were here, unless you watched them. They didn't leave a trace of anything, and they cleaned up after the job was done. I don't have complaints.

2009: Roofing of home plus two sheds, repair and replacement of trim and siding on chimney, painting of same following repair, and combing of air conditioner fins as necessary and R and R of rear window screens. All damage was caused by hail. The painting, combing of air conditioner fins and screens were not completed until after a letter was written to the owner of J and M Roofing months after the roofing was completed. Pricing was very good.
2010: Another hail storm with almost identical damage. Called J and M Roofing to do the work. This time the guttering had to be replaced also and J and M sub-contracted this work. No contract was signed before J and M Roofing re-roofed the roofs, house and two sheds. The air conditioner fins did not get combed out this time and cost me as this was the excuse used not to cover the air conditioner replacement by my home warranty company even though the air conditioner had been serviced a month before it went out. They, J and M do a great job on roofing; however other work contracted for doesn't get done without a lot of follow-up.
2013: E-mailed J and M on June 5, 2013 requesting a quote following another hail storm. Roofing of house, two sheds. Called them a couple of months later on August 21ST and to date I have not heard from them. I assume they don't want my business!!!

UPDATE: First this review is a follow up to a previous review where we were completely dis-satisfied with the communication with J and M. Their roofing work has always been excellent. We were not satisfied with their responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism on the job in 2010; however that has been rectified. This time the company responded very professionally, the work done in a timely manner, communication was excellent, and even though we had problems in the past with communication J and M responded, gave a fair price, completed the job in a very timely manner. We researched a number of roofing companies and contractors and used J and M because we knew their work was excellent. Following having to replace three roofs in less than five years, we have learned much about roof replacement and the roofing industry in Oklahoma City and would recommend using J and M Roofing for roof damage repair or replacement.

Our family has used Jand M for many years. In total they've replaced 4 roofs now for us. I highly recommend them as they are professional, reasonably priced, and do a great job. Phil and Lyn have each been to our home personally and make the process very easy and worry free. If there are any problems after the job is done they take care of it no questions asked. Super company to work with!

We were very happy with them. We took four estimates. My husband met with all of them. They were in the middle of the price range. We had some unusual problems with our roof, and they seemed to have the best solutions for our needs.

The crew was very professional showed up on time and worked very hard. It rained one day before they were finished and they buttoned up the roof, so it didn't leak during the heavy wind (50 mph) and rain. Phil, the boss, would check in with me to see how it was going from time to time. They finished in a short amount of time and cleaned up very well before they left. They are a family owned business and rely on folks like us to support their reputation by word of mouth and Internet! I highly recommend them to anyone who needs some roof repairs as they will do a great job. Phil also worked well with my insurance company, so that all went smoothly.

J and M Roofing showed up on time each day that they were out. They cleaned up each day when they were finished working for the day. We recommend them to friends and family based on our experience.
