Hobby Lobby Stores Inc

I got a gift for Christmas that I did not care for. It has the original Hobby Lobby tag on the bottom, and the item was still being offered in the store. I wanted to exchange it for something else. I got to the cash register, and they wanted my drivers license number. I told them No, that is my personal information, and I am not sharing it. So Ieft the store with my original item that I went in with, and a good reason to never shop there again. Add Hobby Lobby to the growing list of retailers who will not accept a return without demanding this personal information. My name and address I would give, but not my license number, and never ever my SSI number. This was for a $20 item. Which they just lost a customer for. One more good reason to shop with smaller retailers, who have a little more flexibility and common sense.

Nice selection of frames and mats. Staff was knowledgable and helpful. The picture was ready three days before promised.

I bought a large frame that was on clearance. It would not fit into my car. They took my name and number and said that they would hold it until I was able to return and get it with a truck. It took about 3 weeks for my husband to get to the store and pick it up because of the Christmas holidays and leaving town for family reasons. I did not think this would be a problem since I had paid for it. When he arrived, he was told that the frame was lost. They looked in a couple of sections of the store but could not find it. My husband asked if they could make another one but was told that since it was on clearance, they would not make another frame even though the exact wooden frame material was still at the store. They did refund the money that I spent but refused to make me another frame. After buying the frame, I expected it to be there and wanted it not the refund. I called and told them that I was not happy about the situation and was going to make a report on Angie's List because I felt that losing the frame was something they should be responsible for since I had paid for the frame. I chose the Hobby Lobby frame over another one of that size from another store and that other frame was gone by the time that I had found that Hobby Lobby lost my frame so I know have no frame.
