I asked them to come out and give me a quote on my dads property (who just passed away) for pipes and furnace that broke during the freeze. Instead of quoting anything like it had asked them to do before any work began, they began work and stopped before completing anything saying I owed them $840. Then I tried for weeks to get them to give me estimates for my insurance company which they lied to and said it was due to age not the freeze. A complete lie. They wanted to buy my dads property for next to nothing and I think they were giving me the runaround for that reason. Very unprofessional company that called me rude when they were in fact very rude and messed up my homeowners claim. Now I have to start over with a new company.

Aaron and Jack found that the reset button needed to be triggered. They explained to me that is the first thing to check for in the future. I called and they were here within a couple of hours. The plumbers were very courteous and polite. They gave me a 10% senior discount. I would use them again and recommend their service. They were very professional.

Their prices are about in the middle, but they always guarantee their work and do what they say they will do.

Very professional!  Came in and looked at size of tank we had and then went back to the shop and returned with hot water tank.  It all want very quickly.  After he left I went to see if there was a mess or water that needed to be clean up and there was none.  He did a awesome job cleaning up after himself.  The bill was exactly as was quoted to my husband. Thank you!!

IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW!!!!!
I wish I didn't have to write such a bad review but this company has changed recently and ALL they care about is money. If you have a lot of money use them because the plumbers are good, but it will cost you several times what other companies charge. They now charge by the job and have to get a quote for everything they do. That means there are no set prices. Women get charged a lot more then men do. I had a leak in my hot water tank that took 12 minutes to fix, yes I timed it. It cost 242 dollars. That is ONE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED AND TEN DOLLARS AN HOUR!!! There were no parts needed.I ask if they could tighten the bolt on the toilet (I am disabled) and after another call to the office was told it would be 150 dollars more. The plumber was embarrassed to have to tell me that and hated the new pricing system. They lost me as a customer and will lose good workers who don't want to hear all the complaining. They should be ashamed of themselves.
Response from Hermans Plumbing
"Herman’s Plumbing is responding to the review of [Member Name Removed]. Herman’s Plumbing was called at 11:37am the 22nd day of February, 2016 for a washing machine drian backing up in garage. The call was dispatched at 1:36pm the same day and Herman’s arrived on the jobsite at 1:55pm. We ran the washer drain twice and it never backed up. While doing the work on the washer drain, the technician felt dripping on the back of his neck. When he looked up he found that it was coming from the hot water tank. The hot water tank that is ½ in and ½ out of ceiling sets above the washer in attic. The Temperature and pressure relieve valve was leaking. We provided a safety check to make sure hot tank wasn’t overheating. Checked out at 120 degrees .The customer was notified of the problem that was found and pricing and the work was approved by [Member Name Removed]. We replaced the temperature and pressure valve and drain and all was working great. Job was completed at 2:45pm. During the course of the repair, Ms. [Member Name Removed] asked us if we could tighten a bolt on her toilet. When bolts are loose on a toilet Herman’s will pull and reset the toilet for a price of $149.95. Our techs do not tighten bolts just due to warranty purposes. She declined the service. Herman’s Plumbing has GPS tracking on their vehicles so we are able to see when the job was started and completed. Total cost to customer was $225.95 (Labor and Material) and after 5% senior discount the total due was $214.95. Herman’s Plumbing prices have not gone up, in fact, they have gone down. Certain jobs are based on a flat rate average and some are by hour. As to the accusations of Herman’s Plumbing charging women a different price than men. That is completely false. We bill as to the job that is at task not whether you are a man or women. All technicians are required to contact our office at the end of the job so that our Service Manager can give pricing for labor and materials. We have not received any calls from Ms. [Member Name Removed] since the repair was made. If she had contacted us we would have made all attempts to explain the pricing and work that was completed and to ensure that she was happy with our services."

This company did a good job and I would probably use them again in the future. There were a few things that I didn't totally love but overall it was a good job. The top thing I didn't like was that they were paid by the hour and I walked out 3 different time to find both men taking a smoke break in their van. And the job wasn't an all day job, it only took about 3 hours and I didn't think I should be charged for them to take multiple breaks to sit in their van for such a short job. Now I don't want to sound harsh and uncaring and I DO think that breaks are much needed. Just seemed a little excessive and I feel like they could have finished the job quicker which would have resulted in a lower price due to the hourly work rate. The second thing I didn't love was they they left the area a complete mess. Broken pieces of plastic and even some pieces of pipe laying in a heap of dirt after they covered up the spot they fixed. It looked absolutely terrible. But that was purely aesthetic and had nothing to do with the work they preformed. Maybe I'm being overly critical but $800 is a lot for us and wanted to give an honest opinion. The actual work they did was top notch and the people who I dealt with on the phone were very polite and helpful.

We bought a Sears water softner and whole house filter in Colorado where we were living.  We bought a 3 year old house in Guthrie Oklahoma and wanted the unit installed.  The maine water shout off valve is located in a bedroom, and has a wood panel covering the whole with 4 screws.  They removed the screws and plate and began the work in the garage.  The job was done in about one houre.   The gentelman handed my the bill and I was shocked $710.00.  After they left I went in to the bedroom and discovered that they did not replace the plate for the water valve.
We bought this unit in Denver, CO and had it installed. the total cost was $176.89.  I believe that I was Ripped off.  They did do a good job, but $710.00 is nuts.
We did get an estamite of $2000.00 from another plumbing company, but that company wanted to install the unit in the same location that Herman's Plumbing installed it but they wanted to go through wall in the bedroom, across the atic and then back down
Response from Hermans Plumbing
"Herman’s Plumbing received a call from (removed member name) requesting a quote by phone on the cost of installing their water softener system. At that time Herman’s Plumbing quoted $650-$850 and the quote was verbally accepted and a work order was made to install the system on 3-31-15. Herman’s Plumbing requires all of our vehicles to have GPS tracking systems so that we are able to track the time on jobs. The job was dispatched at 8:10 am and miscellaneous supplies were picked up for the job. We arrived at 9:31 am at the address of 3323 First Capital Cr., Guthrie and left with job completed at 11:22am which is 1 hour and 52 minutes. Every house is different when doing any kind of installation and prices vary from state to state but the quote was accepted so Herman’s didn’t feel like there were any issues. Herman’s Plumbing does not feel the customer was “ripped off” due to the quote being accepted up front before work was done. We do apologize if the technician forgot to replace the plate for the water valve. We did not know about this until reading the review. Herman’s Plumbing would be happy to come out and do that if it still needs to be replaced. We hope that you will consider using Herman's Plumbing again for your Plumbing and Heat and Air needs."

We own a 2300 sq foot home we bought in late 2013. We were not getting adequate cooling during the hot August/September days in the Oklahoma City area due to the high temps in 2014. The builder had installed too small a unit for a home this size and the original duct work was atrocious. Both these factors contributed and of course the unit was old. Kirk Weese who owns Herman's Plumbing sent out his Heat & Air guys to check the problem. After choosing to go with a larger size cooling unit with entirely new duct work and a heating unit that was compatible, I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions we've made in years. CJ and the team of guys Kirk sent out were top notch, as well as very professional. The work was completed in one day with emaculate cleanup before they left.
