Heavenly Water Gardens

Had a water feature (creek) which my husband built 8 years ago while working at local company after his retirement. Our family enjoyed it greatly especially after he passed away a couple of years ago. I returned from a trip a month ago, flipped on the pump switch and it hardly worked. I asked a friend who had worked with my husband at that company but they no longer did installations, just carried the products. But he gave me the name of the man who had done their installations who was trying to start his own company. Armando responded to my call right way, set up an appointment and actually came a day early when he got through with other jobs. He was very much a gentleman and just friendly enough (talked to me, explaining, but not telling me his life's story!). He cleaned out the base of the creek, took out the pump and cleaned it, reinstalled it and put everything back. We turned it on and neither of us were satisfied with the flow of the creek and he suggested I probably needed a new pump. He had a catalog, explained the sizes, flow, cost, etc but I let him choose what he thought I needed. He went out and bought it, installed it, put everything back like it was, cleaned up, "taught" me how to treat it and even gave me several other suggestions about my creek. Then after about four hours at the job he charged me $300 . . . cost of the pump and all! I questioned if he was sure that was enough and he said he was trying to get his business started and wanted happy customers to pass his name around. I highly recommend him and his work. The only "downside" is that since he is Mexican, he's just a bit hard to understand on the phone but once face to face that's not a problem at all. I only wish I could get other workmen as professional as Armando.
