We have Oklahoma Citys only Master Certified Picture Framer and we have 2 Certified Picture Framers. We do custom preservation picture framing and also have an art gallery. Additional contact name - Dennis Duarte.
The finished product turned out fantastic. It took longer than expected. They were though busy with the framing of graduation, wedding and senior pictures.
Description of Work: I had an item framed that was unusual. They helped me pick out a frame that went well with the item.

Description of Work: Since finding Framed in the Village, we will never use the hobby stores again for our framing. They may cost a bit more but this is where the saying you get what you pay for is definitely true! You will not be disappointed in their work!

We wanted two similar sized (but not identically sized) prints framed so that the frames and the mat would be identical, show the full prints, and work for our bedroom wall side by side. A little complicated to figure out. Took the prints to Framed in the Village, they solved the problem on the spot. Promised the work back in two weeks, and it was done right on time, and to perfection. They are going to be our frame shop from now on. They are great - professional, knowledgeable, friendly. If you live in Central Oklahoma this is your frame shop!

They are fast and efficient and super-professional. It took about 3 weeks, but something like that is a little difficult to do as it involved some restoration and great care with a 150-year-old document. I love these people's work and they are very friendly and knowledgeable. I have used them before and will continue to do so -- and highly recommend them.
Description of Work: They archivally framed a Civil War veteran's certificate (belonged to a great-grandfather) of service and his membership in the GAR. The certificate is quite large (about 3' X 2' framed) and was in tattered condition in several places. They mounted it on an acid-free board with mats and then used the archival glass and a lovely wooden period-looking frame. It is gorgeous and extremely well-done!

I've taken many pieces to the folks at Framed In The Village to be framed, thru the years. They always take all the time you need to ensure that the overall effect of your project is the best it can be; and it never takes very long to get a piece back. I've also always loved exploring Framed In The Village's shop on North May; they have the most wonderful selection of artwork for sale; so when I've been waiting for any reason in their store, there's always new and intriguing art to enjoy. (And they delightfully always have coffee and these lovely ginger cookies on a tray near the door... it's a homey touch that has always made me feel warm and fuzzy about them!) This Christmas, I found an old photograph of my Mom and her parents (when they were all young and darling and smiling), and I thought it would be a wonderful gift for my Mom (who's now 91)... but it was ridiculously last-minute. I decided to take it to be framed anyway, and if I couldn't give it to her until after Christmas morning, that would be okay. So I dashed down to their shop with it on the 23rd of December; and lo and behold, to my surprise and delight, they had completed their work for the holiday and were able to mat and frame my photo on the spot! My Mom LOVED the gift, and I was SO pleased!
Description of Work: Framed In The Village is absolutely THE finest art-framing business in Oklahoma City, bar none. I have been using their services for many years, and they have always provided the highest excellence in service (as well as the enjoyment factor!) that could possibly be expected. They are the loveliest people, and they do the most beautiful work, always. Dennis Duarte, the owner, is the only active Master Certified Picture Framer in Oklahoma, certified by the International Picture Framers Association (PPFA) in 2010. They provide thorough, full-on assistance with each job, spending time with you and sharing their exquisite taste in artfulness and design, and making suggestions from their incredibly wide range of framing styles and materials. They can give you a frame that is simple and modern or very formal and incredibly crafted, intricate, and beautiful. They have always done a beautiful job in framing my Dad's artworks; and some of the pieces they've worked on were very old and not in good shape (from the '30s and '40s, and often in a very delicate state of age). They're extremely creative and subscribe to the highest standards of museum-quality framing. They've always respected the unique integrity of each piece I've brought to them for framing; and always done an exceptional job of setting off the piece to its best presentation (often more spectacularly than I'd envisioned). They're extremely professional, and yet very friendly and accessible -- I guarantee you will be delighted with each visit to them and each job you ask them to do for you! Plus, they also have a very large and varied stock of wonderful artwork to purchase, if you're looking for a perfect gift.
