They were better than the picture on their site. They delivered them during an ice storm...could not be happier

I called Floral and Hardy this afternoon, after researching their web site for a couple possible arrangements to pick from. I had decided to settle on a bouquet entitled Enchanted Cottage and after asking some pointed questions on the phone about what the picture showed and what would actually be arranged, I decided to pay more so that our coworker received something that was similar to the picture. She said they didn't have the lavender flowers, but did have fuchsia and plum, so I said to use the plum flowers. We talked about the vase and they had something else, which sounded fine, and I even mentioned the purple bow in the picture and asked for that as well. The woman was nice on the phone, and the flowers were delivered not long after my phone call, so no complaints on that. But I am very much disappointed with the final product of what was delivered. This is not the first time I've had this happen - both at this florist and others. I do realized that those Telefora pictures are very beautiful and the flowers are not always in season or available, but if I agree to up the price, then I expect a more robust arrangement like the picture shows, even if the flowers are not exactly the same. They put so much greenery around the bottom edge of this bouquet, you can barely see the flowers. Instead of plum, the color looked to be more like fuchsia. And there was no bow around the vase to dress it up further. I actually have pictures of the photo I wanted, and the recipient sent me a pic of what she got. Wish I could post those to clearly show the difference. If they know they can't duplicate the photo, or get close to that, then florists need to make that clear to the customer.

My experience went very poorly. I ordered roses and added in tiger lilies for delivery on Friday, Valentines Day. Well, by 6:30 pm the flowers had not shown up. No call from the shop or delivery person, and they had two different phone numbers and every chance to contact my wife or me regarding the delivery. So, after promising my wife that I had indeed ordered her flowers, I called the store, but no answer. The busiest day of the year and no one there, no answering service, no forwarding of the phone. I left a voice message and then emailed the email contact regarding the no show of my flowers. Saturday morning, my wife was going to get the paper, and there were the flowers at our front door. No phone call, no doorbell ring, no knock on the door. Thank heavens the wind had not yet kicked up and the flowers were still upright. It was a beautiful arrangement, but no tiger lilies. Now, in their defense, after they heard my story, the clerk explained that on days like Valentines Day, all the flowers are taken to a central depot for delivery by someone in the area. She called and confirmed the late delivery, then refunded me the delivery charge and the cost of the tiger lilies, and gave me a fairly sincere apology. But no discount, nothing else. So, I ended up with a dozen roses, a day late, that were quite expensive. Finally, no response to the email, no phone return call to my voice message. In conclusion, I cannot recommend Floral & Hardy. They are over priced, not service oriented and lack the ability to delivery.

I searched the internet for a florist in the general area of where the flowers were to be delivered. I chose Floral and Hardy for their location and the information on their web site. I called the local number and told the representative exactly what I wanted using the name of the arrangement as given on their web site. She assured me they had everything they needed to "build" (my word) the arrangement. When collecting my cc information it came out that the $35.00 arrangement I picked was, in fact, $80.00. She explained that the price on the web site was for "network" orders and that if I wanted the arrangement to be nice, it would be $80.00. Bait & switch, you think??? Anyway the flowers were delivered that day but so late in the day that the person receiving them was gone for the day. The vase/bowl that was different and not nearly as pretty as the web site depicted.
