Technician diagnosed the problem quickly; explained it in terms I understood, including cost; made the repair; confirmed all was working properly; and cleaned up afterward. He clearly knew his subject and was professional, not wasting my time or his. I definitely recommend Fireside Concepts.

I am a do-it-yourself person. I usually only contract out work that needs a licensed contractor like a plumber or electrician. I recently decided to replace my old wood burning fireplace insert with a new one. So I began by trying to get information from the online stores. They weren't really any help because they didn't know local code. So I made calls to several of the local fireplace stores all of which were pretty competitive on pricing but I wasn't really having much luck getting guidance on doing it myself, as most of them wanted to install the system for me. I called Fireplace Express and Crystal answered the phone. Now Crystal doesn't install the systems and didn't really know how to answer my questions, but she did the next best thing. She took my number down and called Jason "The Owner". After a while she called me back and told me Jason would be in the office in about 45 minutes and I could come down and talk to him about my questions.
When I met with Jason, he told me all about the different types of fireplace systems from wood burning to vent less. He told me the pros and cons on all of them and didn't really try to sell me on this one or that one. He just talked to me about them. Now for my house I chose the vent less system because I don't want 15' feet of stovepipe sticking out the front of my house.
The next day I came back and picked up the fireplace that I chose and while I was there, one of there installers was there picking up materials for a job he was headed out to do. He gave me his card and told me to give him a call if I had any more questions. Which I did, several times as a matter of fact. He was great, he answered his phone every time I called and gave me the advice that I needed. It has been a real pleasure working with these guys. I would highly recommend them whether you are a do-it-yourself person or you want the job done by a professional.
