I leased a home from Ty Weston and Elite Real Estate for three years. For the most part, the experience was positive, until I had to give notice that we would have to leave the premises 4 months early because we were surprised with an opportunity for a new home we just purchased. The process and sale went much quicker than we thought. As a tenant for three years, with impeccable pay history, I was shocked at how I was treated. I sent numerous replacement renters to Weston/Elite and they were told the rent was $150 more per month than what I was paying. Weston improperly and maliciously increased the rent. Then, in violation of Oklahoma law, tried to charge me a re-lease fee and keep my entire deposit. I had to threaten legal action (I am a lawyer) in order to get my deposit returned. If you want a professional agent and rental or sale experience, do not use Weston or Elite Real Estate. I provided a new renter even though Weston improperly increased the rent. I paid the difference for those renters to take over my old lease. Please be wary of doing business here. They are not very interested in following the law.
"Tenant had un-authorized animals at the property and un-authorized occupants. Tenant did not take care of the property and left damage to the interior and exterior of the home. Tenant Violated the Rental Agremeent by abandoning the property premature of the Rental Agreement. The experience was not positive in any way with this Tenant."
"Our application fee is $10 per adult which is what this person was charged. We have the lowest application fee in the area and we also waive our application fee for any military, active or retired. The approval or turndown of a rental application is based solely on credit, income, rental history, a background search, pets, time on job, collections, judgments, foreclosures, smoking, etc. Applications and approvals are a first come first serve basis and when multiple applications received the property owner will choose the best application based on the items above. Applicants are not judged based on their appearance. We do our best to reach applicants as soon as possible regarding the decision on their application and we will leave a very minimal message if we can not reach them. We welcome all applicants to contact us with any questions regarding their application on any of our rental properties. Unfortunately not every application can be accepted for each property and therefor some will be turned down. This is not a reflection of the individual applicant's appearance, personality or lifestyle, its a business decision based solely on the facts presented on paper."
