CORNERSTONE ROOFING & CONSTRUCTIONS

The installation went well initially then we had 3 leaks in the same area within the next 6 months. Big holes knocked through the decking by the nails where you can touch the back of the shingle through the attic. Was told this is normal and happens often. Umm, ok.They didnt bother to kilz or paint the ceiling after the leaks either. Also, the carbon monoxide detector went off. We called the fire dept. and they started looking around and found that the vent above the hot water tank had not been installed properly. They asked me if I had my roof replaced recently and sure enough we had. All in all not a very pleasant experience and would not recommend.

i am still waiting for them to began the work!!!  I will make a thorough report when the work is completed. It is now August 8, 2013.  The work is still NOT completed.  The roof was done last week, 7/29-31. After the roof work was completed, I expected to hear from the owner, Tom Lane, Sr. However, it has been more than a week and I have not heard a word from him or anyone at Cornerstone.  According to the contract, they are to do additional work inside my house and also on  the deck.  I have never experienced such lack follow through.   The roof work has not been inspected by them and I have no idea when they will return to finish the work outlined in the contract.I have called them so many times to find out the status of my project; however, this time I will just wait it out!!!! This experience has been frustrating, at best.  I will not use them again nor can I recommend them for anything!!!  Today  is August 8.  I will kekep you posted as the work is completed.

Cornerstone was recommended to me by a friend. I received approximately 5 estimates to replace my roof due to the hail damage. Cornerstone was the second lowest estimate and Cornerstone sales rep. Aaron was on time for the estimate, was very courteous, professional and explained in detail all phases of the estimate. After choosing Cornerstone, Aaron met my insurance rep. and walked the roof with both of us and made sure the insurance rep. saw all of the damage and answered all my questions during and after the Insurance Rep. left. I also requested Cornerstone provide me a copy of their liability insurance and workers comp insurance. Both documents were promptly sent to me.
When I received the amount the insurance company was going to pay Aaron made a third trip out to break down the information and finalize the deal. Aaron advised me that due to being very busy it would be approximately 2 weeks before they could get started. True to his word, Cornerstone started almost exactly 2 weeks to the day. I was adivsed they would arrive at 6:20 am and true to their word the crew started at 6:30 am and worked steadly all day and completed the job in one day. The crew was courteous, professional and cleaned up so well that I only found 1 nail in the whole yard when they finished.
I would highly recommend Cornerstone to anyone needing roofing and I would rehire them in the future.
 

They worked on my neighbors homes. They called to see if I needed their services. They were prompt, cleaned up after themselves, and were very professional in the work that I saw. They hand nailed the shingles. I will use them if I need their services in the future. They were very good with following up with me.

They were fine as far as professionalism was concerned. I was not happy with their price, though. We did not use them. We got around five different bids and we went with another bid that was better. The type of work they were recommending did not include some things in the estimate, and that would’ve cost us even more.

They were efficient, cleaned up the area, and did a good job. They are extremely responsive when I call with leaks later (not related to the roofing job-ice dams). They always come quickly to check things out when I call. I have used them for several roofs as I have rent houses. Love them.

My overall experience with Cornerstone was good. They were recommended by a friend, and their estimate was the middle of the three we received. From the start though, they were the most professional: They actually took the time to explain the estimate to me. They handled all of the back-and-forth with the insurance adjuster and kept me informed. There was a fairly long delay after the estimate until they could begin work, but they had warned us of the backlog and kept us up to date. The roofing crew was courteous and cleaned up after themselves very, very well. There as minimal damage or debris in my gardens and nothing in my koi pond. The only hitch in their professional image was the child who was along with the crew one day (playing unsupervised on my patio), but it wasn't really a problem. The gutter crew (different guys) was not quite as neat (some scrap metal in the gardens), but was still pretty good. Overall, I was satisfied with my experience and would use them again.

Even though I don't like to give a perfect "10" for anything, I am unable to rate Tom Lane and Cornerstone anything less. I have absolutely no complaints. We based our decision to use Cornerstone by observing the work they did on our neighbors house along with estimates from (2) other companies. Cornerstones price was equal to or less than the other estimates. They also worked very well with our insurance company by handling all of the details. Our roof was completed in 2 days. The workers were always on time and very courteous. They also did a great job on clean up and protected our plants and landscape from any destruction. After they finished the job you could not tell that they were even there, other than a beautiful roof. A big thanks to Tom Lane and his crew.

Cornerstone Roofing did an excellent job. They held up to everything they told me. Cornerstone got my roof done in a timely matter. They are a excellent company, and I would recommend them to absolutely anyone.
