My clock ran only for a few hours after Richard Garrett left my home. Stopped and has not ran sense. Tried multiple times to contact him by phone without success. Left message after message but no calls returned

The repairs took nearly 7 months, but the result was entirely worth the wait.  Richard did a fantastic job repairing the case -- all signs of damage have been completely eliminated.  The damage to the clock door was particularly extensive with large chunks of the door broken out where the door hinges were attached.  It's amazing that the repairs are totally invisible, the new round, convex glass on the clock face looks identical to the original, and the clock keeps accurate time again.  As the clock is over 100 years old, the finish was too light in color and was in poor condition.  Richard was able to apply a darker stain that closely resembles the wood throughout the rest of our home.  We are proud to have this wonderful old clock back in a prominent spot in our home looking as majestic as the day it was finished by the craftsman over 100 years ago.

The little mantle clock needed professional cleaning and service but was running.  I took it in just before the Oklahoma Fair was to start in 2012 and he told me that it would take about a month due to the time he would have to spend getting ready for and at the Fair and I left the clock with him.

After not hearing from him in 6 weeks, I called and was told that it should be ready shortly.  I called again about a month later and was told that it needed some parts replaced and they were on order.  I went out there about a month later and was told it wasn't ready yet but he would call when it was. I went out there again about a month later and was met by a different person at the desk who went back and looked for the clock.  He came back and said they should be able to work on the clock within the next week.  And finally, after almost a year in their shop, I got my clock back.

They said they had to replace several small parts and had a hard time getting the right ones but that the clock was guaranteed for a year.

Is the clock still running - yes.

Believe me, after the run around I got I wouldn't have used their guarantee!  I don't know how this guy manages to stay in business but he isn't getting any from me ever again and I make it a point to tell people how bad his service is.

Mr. Tick Tock took my Grandfather clock apart, took the clock parts back to his shop for a good cleaning and in about 3 days brought them back and put everything back together.  Clock works beautifully.  He did a wonderful job.

Two weeks after dropping it off we received a call that the clock was repaired and ready to be picked up. We were told that whoever worked on this clock previously did more damage than good. The old movement needed bushing everywhere. There was also some bent teeth on some part and a shaft on another was bent forcing that part to be replaced.. The movement and springs were disassembled and properly cleaned and lubricated. TWO WEEKS!!!! That is superior time for mechanical clock repair. Some may think that $395 is a lot to pay for clock repair, but this guy rejuvenated our clock. It works like new and it sounds like it did 35 years ago. It sounds "young" again. There are no longer spring wound clocks like ours being made any more, so we were very happy that the Clock Clinic could breathe new life into our old clock. The repair comes with a one year guarantee.

It had been there for a while so I called to ask if it was ready and they were really sarcastic and said “Well, did I call you yet?” It took a year for me to get my clock back and it’s still not even 100% repaired! I plan to take the clock back because the charges were approximately $335 and I purchased the clock for only $200. I plan to update this review if the service provider makes good with me. I'm going to call them tomorrow.

Had to call more than once but when he came out it was a very good experience.  Very professional and knowledgeable as well as friendly.  Extremely pleased with his work.

He came and gave us the estimate of $525 to clean and check out the clock mechanism, this would include a 1 yr warranty .  He removed the clock works and left. We did not have a reciept or his card or any proof that he had our clock parts or to prove that ours were returned. After 1 1/2 weeks I called and was told he is a professional, we did not need to worry and it would only be a couple more days.  He reinstalled the parts, we paid and he left. A day or so later the clock stopped. I called and he said he would call me back and come out.  2 weeks later I called back and he had forgotten, said he was busy with clocks from the early May tornados.  I called again 2 weeks later and he said he would come the next Monday. I waited all day, rescheduling my plans. I missed a call at 3pm, returned the call and was told it was too late to come over.  He came the next day at the scheduled time and told my husband that we had wound the clock incorrectly and not to touch any settings. He left and the clock ran for 2 minutes.  I called and he came back and took the works back to his shop along with the weights so he could run it there.  When the clock was reassembled 1 1/2 weeks later, he told us he had to replace several bearings. If he had realized they were bad the first time it would have added $250 to the price.  Since he missed it the first time it would only be $200. We asked why the one yr warranty did not cover this? He became defensive when we suggested we felt the original $525 meant he had checked everything out and signed off on the work, he then said "Do whatever you want" and stormed off.  We ran the clock for a couple of weeks and it is still running.  We did send him a check for $100 dollars, splitting the difference with him, even through we feel like he should not have charged us for the second repair.

It was the first time I had used them. They did excellent work, but they were slow to come out.

I needed an estimate to repair an antique French clock. Richard Garrett was extremely knowledgeable about what the repairs would cost and was also able to give me an approximate value of the clock.  .I found him to be an expert and personable. If I decide to have the clock repaired I will definitely take it to him. I would recommend the Clock Clinic to anyone who needs to have a clock repaired or wants to buy an antique clock.
Their address is 3144 North MacArthur in Oklahoma City.

The repairs took a long time to get done, but the workmanship was great.  And the one year guarantee was a really good deal since the wind-up spring on my clock broke soon after the repairs were done.  I was very satisfied with the work done at the Clock Clinic.
